Where do I start with this dreadful , unfit for purpose organisation .They neglect their residents in favour of ANYONE else that comes into the area . They fail the local population where housing , Dr's , Hospital waiting times traffic solutions and the condition of the roads and paths are concerned .They spend money where it's not necessary , they erect structures and roads for millions of our pounds and then a few years later tear them down and replace them all while the homeless problems rise and Chatham and Gillingham town centres crumble into cess pits that local residents don't want to encounter . They collect your council tax and then give it all to Norse and Medway Norse who now carry out and run everything that Medway Council used to , someones pocket is bulging and people are benefiting but it's not the indigenous population . On a personal level they have been responsible through neglecting their duties for me having my arm in plaster for 6 weeks and 2 surgeries both times they brushed me off and couldn't have cared any less yet after the first accident the fault that caused it was repaired within 4 days , yet to see about the other one . As someone who has lived here all my life it breaks my heart to see what's happened to our local areas and in such a short time.........

Absolutely useless council! A diabolical disgrace!They have not paid back overpaid rent, have not attempted to return the money owed!When you call you are connected to an operator who then connects you to another department that does not answer!For simple requests, reporting bylaw infractions and so on why can’t the operator process those requests?Again just another layer and overinflated government!The online system is awful and glitches out!Decisions made by this council continually go against the betterment of the community.If I could give negative stars I would have.I have lived in other places and counties and Medway council are by far the most useless I’ve encountered!

Awful disrespectful Medway Council. We received notice TODAY that this 'council' has arranged works to be carried out in the our Road, Boundary Road, from TODAY and that any cars parked in places in the road, places that we pay them to park in, will be moved. Bloody cheek. So...when are we getting refunded the money we have spent on parking permits from 24/08/22 to 02/09/22?? Reply please. And make sure you are finished by 02/09/22 and not inconveniencing everyone here any further (I.e. get your act together). Disgraceful treatment of residents who PAY for services". You couldn't care less obviously. You should be getting a no star review."

Paid for a years parking permit that took almost a month to arrive and the council makes me pay twice to park in the car park. No refund, nobody to answer the phone. If this was a business it would have been closed for being dodgy but as residents we have to put up with it.

They are doing cyber bullying and more against me.I have been trying to explain the situation to the council for a long time now, but they still continue with their cyber bullying. I have never lived at that address and I am not liable for council tax there either. Someone is misusing my name without me knowing who it is (if you want me to investigate this further please provide me with details of the landlord).I have asked them several questions such as: who said I was responsible for this address? What legal documents are there which prove that I am liable? If they cannot answer these questions then I will take them to court, as their behaviour constitutes cyber bullying by sending payment invoices and debt collectors when it should not be my responsibility in the first place.Their solicitor did not allow me access into Sumon Court and said he would look into any mistakes, but nothing has happened since then(actually happened debt collectors started bullying behalf of them)This whole experience has had a very negative impact on both myself psychologically as well as on my family life too.

A Passport to Leisure card can help people like me that are out of work because of health problems and would like to try and rehabilitate through activities like swimming. Before Covid the service provided swimming for free, which really helps when you don't have any money. If you took your proof of benefit and passport photo along to a Medway Leisure Centre they could make your card that day. Unfortunately during Covid leisure centres temporary closed and this set me back. Now leisure centres are open again my card has run out so I need a new one. They have changed the system and you have to apply online. I applied online over a month ago and the card still has not been made. I went along to my leisure centre and explained this but they said there is nothing they can do, the cards are made by someone in Gun Wharf now. They won't allow me in without the card, even though I sent the £2.50 payment for the card over a month ago when I applied. Also the swimming is no longer free, you only get a reduced charge and the charges can start to mount up if you want to swim regularly. Very despondent with these new changes to a service that is meant to help people that are struggling, and the long wait time for the card to be made when it use to be instant feels like a real kick in the guts.

Applied for a parking permit, like I do every year. They take the money and don't send the permit (like they do every year). Despite chasing them up with calls and emails they continue to ignore me.Every year I have this.Every year 'if' I manage to get through, I'm told it must have been lost in the post".I wonder if they would be quite so complacent if i'd been given a Penalty Charge Notice ?I think not !"

There are plenty of negative comments made against Medway Council, having looked at them recently.However, my experience couldn't have been smoother this morning. I recieved a Parking PCN in the post, claiming I had parked illegally and when checked it showed a different vehicle, listed against my registration. I was now wondering if I had been cloned.A quick phone call, answered almost immediately, and query explained, got me informed it was human error, and my ticket was now being cancelled, because it should have been an 18 plate vehicle and not 17.Email of cancellation arrived moments later. A very easy and pleasant experience for me.

Received parking fine. Video evidence of the warden using his foot to wipe the leaves and rubbish covering the yellow line and took a photo. We pay fines but you can’t afford to clean the streets. Why were the lines not visible and overdue some paint. Way overdue a clean. Pure thick mud and expecting us the public to see these lines or expect us to go cleaning the floor to see where we can and can’t park. Can’t even afford to fix our roads of main problems

Paid for my parking permit as mine was nearing its end. I paid Medway Council for a new permit and I paid earlier than necessary to ensure I received it on time (28/11/22). I did not receive my new permit until (04/1/23), in this time I used countless day pass permits (which I used them all), then recieved two PCNs one on christmas eve and one between christmas and new year. I appealed these PCNS as I have paid for a new permit and paying for day passes and still have not recieved my new permit, yet my appeals have been rejected.So I pay council tax, I pay for a permit and I now pay charges through no fault of my own. Disgusting Happy New Year Medway Council.
