The Anchor
We had a lovely experience for lunch at The Anchor. Ideally located on the River with lovely views and access points. Staff were super friendly and attentive from start to finish. We all had Sunday roast, I opted for the Vegan Wellington which did not disappoint. It was delicious and filling, the only thing i would have liked was a little more of the vegetables for the pricepoint to accompany. Gravy was superb and everything cooked to perfection. Finished off with a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also quite good.

The pub is located by the punts and is a popular destination for tourists, but it can be crowded and difficult to secure a table with a river view. Although the scenery is beautiful, the establishment itself is not well-maintained, particularly outside. The food is mediocre, exemplified by our experience of having fish and chips, where the chips seemed to have been reheated from frozen. The fish was satisfactory, but it is a dish that can easily be prepared to a high standard. The service was prompt, and the staff appeared to be amiable, but they seemed overworked. The interior of the pub is spacious and suitable for families, with tables of a decent size.

Great view of the river! Staff have been very friendly and attentive despite the high volume of it being busy!!Food out quite fast and it was delicious, nothing better than a fresh cooked meal while watching people fall in the river from their punts!Highly recommend for all Pink Floyd fans!Prices are well reasonable to be in the best pub in Cambridge!

Extremely friendly staff that would go above and beyond for us all!Very fast service (despite it being busy) and great view of the river!Great value for drinks!Highly recommend this place. And if you're a rock fan, then I highly recommend you to have a look at the Pink Floyd Legacy and pictures all around the building!Really decent dishes! Highly recommend to try the shepherd's pie! My friend who had the Fish and chips said it was amazing and seemed quite big!

I read about Syd Barret visiting this pub as a school kid and how it has a legacy. I don't think a lot of people know about this. You can find Syd's portraits ( also a few of the band members- Gilmour and Waters , as they are from Cambridge) on the wall. The food was good, good selection of beers on tap. It's right next to a punting hire place. The outdoor balcony has a great view (sometimes chaotic) of people punting.Went purely cos of the Floyd legacy.

The Anchor
Superior pub close to several colleges in Cambridge that doesn't demonstrably advertise its identity as a Greene King establishment. The outside seating area is very picturesque, directly by the river and Cambridge Chauffeur Punts". Very nice seating there unless the sun is burning down (No umbrellas). Cask selection is limited (5 taps

The Anchor
Great place for a bite to eat and a pint with the family. Food was great and our host was excellent. Would have given 5 stars all round and deservedly so but bathrooms were in bad shape and pretty gross. If that's not an issue for you I would recommend and will certainly be back.
