Southmead and Henbury Family Practice

This surgery is rubbish! I had an injury last year in my leg and the physio made a phone appointment. Rang back after telling them more pain symptoms. Nobody called me back until this day and my leg pain never got better due to the fall I had!! I won’t recommend them at all and now I have changed my GP so hoping for better results in the future.

Have always gone here my entire life. Very inconsistent information given out over the phone. Sure its not the worst GP's in Bristol. But its Far from the best.

Wonderful staff,Called yesterday to request a blood test to be taken and was seen today with an appointment. All staff friendly both the receptionist and the nurses. Considering my appointments were in the afternoon, they ran on time and I'm overall happy with the experience today.I Feel like the reviews are mainly negative as people tend to focus on negative experiences more often when this isn't the case so don't let the few low reviews effect your views before booking.

Maybe it's me who I should be awarding zero stars to, because I clearly misunderstood that a telephone appointment at 9:00am was actually sometime between 9 and 12. So I really shouldn't reorganize my entire day around such vagueness. Oh, and the link to upload photos wasn't attached either. And the hold time meant I was 6 minutes late for the appointment at 9am.... If I could award zero stars I would. I'll be finding a more compassionate, helpful, efficient surgery.

Had to constantly ring up for something for my son. The receptionist I spoke to first told me not to ring first thing on a Monday and I should have rung after 10am. Rude person and seems to think they are a Doctor. Rang again later that day and asked if what I needed was done as it was time sensitive. Been trying for a week to get this sorted. The same rude receptionist told me the doctor has it on his to do list but he will get around to it when he can as it is not a priority. Seriously going to look for another surgery.

I can not believe its is busy. I asked for a appointment about mental health problem for a family member. So far, we have to wait up to three weeks for talk on the phone. Mental health is so important, knowing where this can lead. All the our health matters so far, doctors have not solved. As a family we have had to goggle our own diagnosis. Nobody has given us any conclusion. So we looked it up. Took on matters in solving our own health problems.. The doctors I feel are very preoccupied mentally. I feel they have not got enough indivual time, to look into depth.

Applied online to join their clinic through the NHS website. 2 weeks later I call and apparently they don't accept online applications (despite their website saying they do). Anyone would think we're back to the 70's.

Despite the bad reviews from others, I have nothing but good to say.Dr Treagust is fab and has been since I joined the surgery 12 years ago.Receptionists have always been friendly and helpful both in person and on the phone.Yes sometimes there's no appointments for a couple of weeks but if I've called for something more urgent I've been seen quickly.When I've called for mental health reasons I've been seen quickly also.Using the NHS app helps as you can look up appointments yourself and by using the econsult service, instead of a 3 week wait to discuss a problem. I was called back next day and bloods arranged for my problem within 48 hours.A lot of surgeries are suffering just as the whole NHS is and I see this surgery no worse than others

Absolutely DIABOLICAL customer care.NOBODY EVER answers the phone when you call and IF you EVER manage to get an appointment (a genuine miracle) like me you'll go to YOUR doctors (like you'd expect) to be told its in Southmead? (I live in Henbury, not southmead) yet NO MENTION of it NOT being at MY doctors.This 'service' is an utter shambles and the staff clearly need some RETRAINING.

Really friendly and efficient.I needed advice the nurse and the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful.
