Our favourite wine shop/ bar! Gills & Co has a fabulous array of wine to take away, and with such reasonable corkage it’s a delight to drink in as well. We love the knowledge and advice available, and the recent addition of delicious food means it’s hard to stay away. Would highly recommend the excellent wine tasting evenings.

Est. Autumn 2022, family owned Gills & Co Wine Bar & Eatery, joined Ecclesall Rd out of a desire to bring a fantastic range of wines to Sheffield at reasonable prices, served with delicious food in a relaxed and friendly environment. This gorgeous little place is classy, chic and perfect for a meet with a mate or date.I enjoyed;Truffled mushroom arancini served with truffle aioli and chives (v) £9 - these were solicitously comforting and creamy!Pressed slow cooked lamb breast served with prune & red wine reduction, mint and xa'atar (gf) £12 - a taste sensation and melted in the mouthLan Xtreme Organic Rioja & Tritáno Montepulciano - some of the most fantastic reds I’ve drankI also tried a taste of the Pork meatballs served with creamed leeks, pomme puree and plum jam £10 - mouth-watering.The hosts, food and wine were all faultless. I should probably have tried more food as 2 small plates didn’t fill my greedy belly, the focaccia is a great option to soak up some of that wine too! They have weekly wine tasting events, book a table to eat and drink in, or simply walk in and browse their selection of wines to take home.

Wonderful place - great staff who are super attentive, a chef making lovely seasonal small plates! Extensive wine menu. Had a wonderful evening and can’t wait to return. Would recommend to everyone - great if you just want a nibble and a drink or a more extensive meal. Perfect date night spot!

A superb wine tasting evening with Andy. Myself, partner and grandmother have attended two now, our last being wines from Tuscany. Andy is informative, friendly and fun, ensuring for a great evening had by all. Thanks, & we’ll be back. Fabulous shop and stock too we should add of which we’re regular customers.

Lovely place to come for food and some wine, the wine is all displayed on the wall but the staff were great in helping us choose and we had a red that was called Truffle Hound" which was lovely. The food took a bit of time to come but was amazing when it came especially the Aranchini and the cheese sauce that we had with some fries! We will 100% be back."

We had a great time tasting the wines of Portugal at Gills & Co. A relaxed and informative evening by candlelight (as there had been a power cut). I have booked 2 more tastings! I love this place already!

Little gem of a place. Amazing wines, very knowledgeable staff. It's amazing to come across people who are so passionate about what they do during a Sunday walk down Eccy road.
