Jennings Computer Services - Scarborough

I had problems with my Mac, running slow, admittedly it is old.Jennings was a recommendation. I have to travel a 150 mile round trip to Scarborough.That was September 2021. I came away with the same computer 10x, 20x faster.Yesterday, Wednesday 10 August 2022, I bought newer refurbished Mac from Jennings.I wish I could give them more than five stars,I'm willing to travel 150 miles for a 5* plus service, a local family business giving a top quality service.When you ring it will normally be Jon or Margaret who answer both are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.PS. Margaret is the pretty one.

I had an issue with my laptop which Jennings successfully helped me with. I took it in to them on Monday and it was ready for collection the following day. Excellent service. Will definitely use them again. Thank you.

I had travelled from Cardiff to discover, on arrival, my iPhone was not charging. This would have caused me serious inconvenience. I looked on the web and Jennings stood out as a 'top drawer' business. I rang at 0915 and spoke to Margaret in Scarborough and explained the problem. She was extremely helpful and booked me in for an appointment at 1030 which I thought was exceptional.On arrival, I was welcomed by Mike who ran through the symptoms with me. Margaret then booked me in for the appointment and disappeared with my iPhone. She returned less than 10 minutes later with it fully working and showed me the debris they had extracted from the charging port.This was my first ever visit to Jennings. I was extremely impressed by the customer service I received. Margaret and Mike have first class interpersonal skills and are totally professional. I highly recommend Jennings. If we have any future computer needs I will build in another trip to Yorkshire.Outstanding

Jennings Scarborough provided top notch service for me in resolving my faulty MapBook Pro display this week. From beginning to end, the repair service was professional, fast and efficient - the technician went the extra mile to suggest other ways to optimise the operation of my laptop. I cannot rate this team highly enough and will certainly be returning for all future Apple requirements - both technical support and new purchases. What a find to have this calibre of specialist service provider so close to home!

The screen of MacBook Pro (originally bought from Jennings) needed replacing. The lady who dealt with this was excellent; polite, informed and friendly. The whole repair was completed within 3 days even thought the replacement screen had to be ordered in. The whole transaction was efficiently undertaken and my reception on collecting the computer was every bit as friendly as when I left it for repair. An excellent all-round service.

I don 't know why you, as a stranger, would believe any review that I would leave. That's why I generally don't leave reviews. In this case it's different though and the difference is that want to recommend a business that will quite happily thrive without any reviews. Why?reputation through word of mouth. My MacBook Pro went faulty - those details aren't important here - but it seemed obvious to me that besides the fault that had beset the machine it was well past its sell-by date. Therefore I decided to have Jennings repair the machine and then buy a new one. I purchased a new MacBook Air from Jennings and asked them to do the migration of data from the old to the new. To undergo this process Jennings have been entrusted with all my personal data and passwords and the care and attention that has been demonstrated has left me in no doubt that I could not have found a more trustworthy and competent company to deal with. I have spoken to about three people during the process and they have all shown professionalism and interest. As I don't remember all the names of those I spoke to I won't mention any names at all. But after such a friendly, confident and competent service I know that I'll never use the services of any other repairer or reseller. You don't know me , reader, but trust me Jennings will not let you down.

When my 10 year old iMac started crashing, I decided to consult Jennings Scarborough. I had bought it from there and had been looking to replace it for a while but no new 27inch screen iMac was on the horizon. My main use was for photography and the 24 inch, whilst very good, wasn’t sufficient.I spoke to Mike Jennings who talked through the options. My old computer wasn’t worth repairing as the operating system couldn’t cope with Lightroom and other software updates. I decided to go with one of their 2 year old refurbished and upgraded iMacs and am absolutely delighted. Its condition was like new and the spec met all my needs. I have been using it for about 5 months now ( a long and hectic move of home delayed this review - sorry Mike) and it’s been an excellent choice. I highly recommend Jennings Scarborough - a huge thanks for your support and advice.
