Excellent choice of craft supplies and a few bargains to be had but I always come away feeling that a few of the staff could do with a refresher course in customer service skills or just basic manners at the very least. I overheard several customers and I too was spoken to in a very abrupt manner. It's quite off putting when you could benefit from their knowledge but feel like a nuisance asking for help

Excellent choice of fabrics, haberdashery, wool etc. Staff helpful, friendly and attentive. Food and service in the cafe excellent also. I don't visit often enough.It would 5 ☆ only for the dangerous exit, visibility to the right I felt was poor having to stick the car nose right out.into on coming traffic, but that's is what it is. Otherwise a perfect experience.

Great selection of yarn and fabric. My wife could spend days here, given the chance!

Popped here with friends had a good old mouch around purchased wool, material and most importantly had a lovely cream tea well we both had coffee but so tasty and fresh other friend had a piece of millionaire short bread she said it was huge and very nice. A brilliant place to chill and unwind as your chatting and mounchi around a few other stalls there now in the new buildings few still empty but a good few hours spent there, cafe sells the most amazing Sunday lunches will definitely try it next visit x

Cold food was left on top on hot serving counter, at face height of all the other customers passing the counter. After 15 mins i went to collect the sandwich to be told I had to wait to be served and was waiting on chips for wifes order. My salad was wilted and the coleslaw turning transparent. Not very hygienic in my opinion. The lady on the till was serving food and clearing tables too and was trying her best. Security DO NOT like you browsing in the gift shop and will very obviously follow you around, pretending to look at merchandise themselves, unless you buy something immediately. The security, a lady in plain clothes followed us the whole time we were there. Very rude and some training required I feel. I won't be recommending on youtube anymore after today's experience.

The nicest Abakhan cloth retailer in the country, based in an old Welsh woollen mill. Ample parking, lots of other quaint retail units and a really good cafe. Worth a trip, there is even a walk to the sea shore available.

Brilliant place to go for craft items. Lovely little business village lots for everyone. Fab cafe, dog friendly too plus a tub of free doggy biscuits. Fab.

Good place for fabric wool and haberdashery, prices are very good, and if you've never been before you may be surprised to find fabric sold by weight and not yards , there's some real bargains for anyone who likes to sew , knitting and crochet are also well catered for, as are many other crafting hobbies, I'd say visit if you can and you like a bargain.

Such a wonderful area to explore - fabric, crafts & wool shops. Do be careful about picking anything up because if you do you are likely to spend the next 20minutes being followed by someone pretending to look anything other than a heavy weight shop detective. A sad comment on some of the people who come here.Also, make a visit to the garden plant & ornament man.Plus don't forget the beer shed and the café where the toilets are to be found!And as you have found a parking space it might be worth exploring the tiny businesses hidden inside the rather tarted up shipping containers!A dog groomer who seems to scowl at you if you look through the shop window, the wood crafts shop that I have never found open and the antique guy who couldn't be bothered to look up from his phone to say hello!This mill site has little true history and background to offer but it is fun to explore.If the weather is set fair a brief walk to view the remains of the once great ship - The Duke of Lancaster" is worth a look & perhaps Google the history of the ship!Not a bad choice when trying to find places to explore that are free and under cover when wet weather arrives."
