Empower Martial Arts Academy Lincoln

My son began training here after his karate class closed during the first lockdown. It took a bit of time for him to transition from a single martial art to a more fluid and varied training method offered by Empower but right from then start you could tell he really enjoyed the classes.The Empower team make sure every member enjoys their training whilst also having fun. I sat on the sidelines for a while watching my son develop, but the atmosphere of the gym was too infectious not to want to join in, so I (eventually) joined as a member too. I have absolutely zero regrets, and can only thank Dan and the rest of the team for sharing their knowledge and producing excellent classes!

Myself, my son and my daughter have been attending Empower classes for over 3 years and we could not recommend it more highly. The team are friendly, skilled, accommodating, passionate and always trying to keep everything fun especially for the kids. There is a real mixed bag of members all thriving with the atmosphere of supportiveness and inclusivity that the Academy actively promotes. On a more personal level it has given my children's self esteem and confidence a huge boost, stopped the problems we had with them being bullied, and increased their fitness and general health massively. My weight has dropped, my strength and fitness have increased, I've made some great friends and learnt so many new things. Joining Empower was the best decision I've made for me and my kids in a long time.

Been a member of Empower for a few years now and can honestly say its the most supportive academy I have ever been involved with. The instructors are amazing with everyone. Lockdown was so hard for everyone and they moved everything online to make sure we kept busy and had the support we needed. From online quizzes, charity events and challenges. Additional to that we got phone calls to check that we were coping. Regardless of age or ability they are there to help you with everything. It's like having a second family. Would highly recommend to anyone. Give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised!!

As martial arts clubs go this is one of, if not the best I have ever attended and I have been doing fighty stuff like this now for about 35 years.The syllabus is cleverly woven into engaging classes with a timetable which focuses on different disciplines. The facilities are great, clean, tidy and new. The instructors know their stuff, are supportive and have great energy.My child also goes to the kids classes and has really grown in confidence since starting. Kids who do martial arts are some of the most polite kids you'd meet.If you are thinking of doing martial arts yourself or looking for somewhere to take your lil one. You'd be struggling to find somewhere better than this club.

Highly recommend this fantastic and friendly place. Been training here for a few years now and great instructors, great team and such a supportive environment. I don't do 'gyms' and this is the longest I've stuck at any fitness classes. Huge range of different classes and styles of martial arts so you can have a go at all sorts. Often have great guest instructors too, different events etc and a lively social and family environment, really friendly bunch who pushes you to work hard but in a fun way! They offer regular beginners classes and many free trials too so well worth a go!

After taking a break from Karate for ten years, we both decided to get back into some type of martial arts as the time was right. What we found with Empower is a warm, welcoming and educational group of instructors and students. Together we push ourselves to physical and educational limits and beyond, whilst learning new skills in the pursuit of both personal and group goals. The sense of achievement and feeling of a natural high, cannot be understated. We highly recommend this academy and everyone in it.

I have been training at Empower for a few months now and I seriously can’t rave about this place enough, I attended alone on my first visit and was slightly anxious, I had dipped my toe into mixed martial arts over the years but going to a new venue alone as a female can often feel daunting, I seriously had no reason to feel anxious Dan and his team are beyond welcoming as well as the other students, within seconds I was made to feel part of their amazing team.There’s classes to suit every ability and they cover every style, from young children and up.Fabulous place
