Coastway Vets, Brighton

I can’t praise Coastway Vets Brighton highly enough. My experience has always been positive when I take my two elderly chihuahuas Ruby and Teddy for check ups and Teddy for his monthly injections. We always ask for Jay to administer Teddy’s treatment as he is extremely knowledgable, very approachable and friendly. My two fur babies could not be in better hands.

What can we say about the amazing and professional work carried out by the night team last Tuesday, we are not from the area and on calling they said bring our little six month old Labrador Briggs straight in. We did and from that moment on I’d have to write a book about how we were treated and how in a short sentence “They saved Briggs life” they gave us the time needed to get him to a Specialist veterinary hospital in Essex with a spot on diagnosis . We will never be able to thank them enough for what they did for us or Briggs we will be eternally grateful….

This afternoon, Ruby went to Coastway Vet in Telscombe for her three monthly weigh and worm and, when we arrived, she had a fit. Lisa, the nurse, dealt with her, another nurse (can't remember her name) got me a glass of water and Paula, the receptionist, kept checking if I was OK. Ruby is now very subdued and will be seeing the vet tomorrow morning for a thorough check up. It was a scary moment, but all the staff there were lovely, kind and professional.

Have bought our cat, Fred, here since he was a kitten and have always received excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service from both the reception and medical teams. Also, the continuity of care has been wonderful, we always see the same person, Jay, who is so good with our cat and as well as being kind to animals is fantastic dealing with us as owners as well. We recommend this surgery to anyone in the area who is getting a pet and we have only heard positive things from those who take our recommendation. The Petplan they offer is excellent value for money and we are in the surgery every few months for a health check, nail clipping, vaccinations and flea/worm treatment. The separate feline waiting room is a nice touch as well!

I’ve been working with Jay to help our fear-reactive-to-people dog feel safe and relaxed in a treatment room. The clinic as a whole, and Jay in particular, have allowed us to work at our dog’s pace and have guided and advised us along the way. We started with a dog who couldn’t get any closer to the surgery than across the road. Now she trots happily inside and can fall asleep while consultations are happening. We still have a way to go but we have achieved so much with the patience of the amazing reception team and Jay.

The team at coastway vets is absolutely brilliant! Really responsive to queries about our puppy's health and recent surgery. Great advice provided, very welcoming and reassuring. Puppy life skills classes were really useful too. Massively recommended this team! Thanks so much.

Been taking my cat to Coastways for over a year now, Jay is always so attentive and patient with him and has genuine interest in both pet and owner. Always shares great advice in all situations and explains everything regarding procedures and medication. Nothing is ever too much for the team at Coastways and despite their busyness always have an appointment when you need/want one. Their pet plan is great value and the regular health checks and nail clippings offer great piece of mind. With locations all over the city we were able to keep the same vets when we have moved which is also great. 10/10 would always recommend the team ❤️

Great vets - friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Took Gizmo to their puppy life skills class. Amazing for puppy owners. You get lots of knowledge about looking after your puppy, training and what to feed them and more. Puppy have a chance to socialise and classes aren’t overcrowded. Both the people who run it are wonderful and very helpful. Thank you! :)

The exotics team have saved my bunny's life twice now. She's had to be hospitalised twice for GI stasis and molar spur burring and each time, they were so compassionate and understanding and made her visit as pain-free and smooth as possible. Both times have been after-hours (she loves to torture me!) and they got us in quickly.They called me throughout the day and kept me updated and one of the vets even said he would give her lots of head scratches for me! They even kept her bonded partner because they know the importance of keeping partners together and that it would make her more comfortable.Upon discharge, they provided me with all the necessary info for medication and what to expect from her behaviour after anasthetic, and provided a phone number and email address to contact them anytime if I had any concerns. But they also told me how both bunnies were, what her partner got up to, and details about what they ate and did during her stay.Their compassion and care for their patients is exceptional. These bunnies are our babies and they really treated them as such, getting to know them on a personal level. We're so grateful for the team and will be making them our primary vets as soon as we can!

Our Golden Retriever needed an operation to remove a large abscess around her neck area. The surgery went smoothly. I would definitely recommend. Helen Arlidge CreateCrochet
