Small shop set back from the road, that has a good selection of fabrics & haberdashery items. Also has wool and knitting and crochet items. Very nice staff who were very helpful. Be aware of the steps into the shop!

I visited Shan's today and was super impressed with the arrangements in place for Covid safety. The shop is relatively small, but circulation had been carefully planned, and the number of customers allowed in was strictly limited. Well done! I was also really impressed with the huge range of fabric, and the cheerful and helpful service I received. Thank you.

This shop needs to get into the modern day way of paying for goods , I could not believe they do not take card payments , cash only, when I suggested to the shop owner about card payments she was very rude , and said her prices would have to be increased, and it is her ethos to only take cash payments,very strange way to run a business surely she is losing customers. who has cash these days , fortunately I managed to scrape together enough to makea payment but if I hadn't she would of lost her sale.She was a very rude lady and I will not be shopping there again .

Excellent service from Shan’s again. Easy to use website, beautiful fabrics arrived the next day. The friendly staff are always willing to help with anything, definitely my favourite fabric shop, can’t wait to visit them in person again sometime in the future.

This is such a lovely shop! Please ignore any negative reviews as they are not deserved. Shan is really helpful and very kind and considerate and couldn't do more to make sure we all feel safe. I don't pop in very often but am always made to feel very welcome. Keep up the good work Shan.

Lock down with Shan?! Amazing! All I have done is logged on and browsed all the wonders of fabrics, wools, threads, elastics etc all in the comfort of my cosy home. Selected - Paid and hey presto, delivered through my door!Easy! Thank you Shan. Great service especially when 'this' customer has her creative 'lets do pink' head on - Jazz xxxx

Brilliant shop with friendly helpful staff who have time for their customers. Always spoilt for choice and I find the huge buttons display very exciting when adding finishing touches to my knitwear. Recently got started with quilting and have had lots of advice. Keep up the good work ladies
