Hello to everyone going through a tough time organising a funeral (and all that goes with it). It's a tough time made easier by the excellent service provided by Southwest Funeral Care.All the team of Paul, Stacey, and Lisa were polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.We opted for the Citadel Plan (In-house Service)". This allowed us to have a funeral service at their premises to say goodbye with a Wake afterwards.Time was not an issue. With the Citadel Plan we arrived early in the afternoon and had a small service for around 18 people. We were then allowed to continue straight into a time of chat and remembering

Arranging a funeral for a loved one is not something anyone wants to do. When my Dad passed away after a long struggle with Motor Neurone Disease, I was left with the task to make these arrangements. Completely stricken by grief, I was quickly put at ease after my initial meeting with Paul and Stacey as they gently talked to me and my son, leading us through the various options available to us and how they will be there to hold our hand" every step of the way.I could not have asked for a more caring

I cannot recommend Paul, Lisa, Stacey and the rest of the team at Southwest Funeral Care highly enough. If I could give 6 stars out of 5 I would. Their attention to detail, support, professionalism but above all comfort and compassion was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble making this very difficult,sad and emotional time so much easier to manage. I knew straight away that the in-house citadel plan would be a perfect send off for my Dad due to it being a small intimate service and wake at the premises. The celebrant who conducted the service as part of the plan was nothing but amazing going above and beyond to ensure Dad had the best send off possible.As far as I am concerned there is only one Funeral Care company in Plymouth and that is Southwest Funeral Care. I can not recommend the lovely people from Southwest Funeral Care any higher... They blew us away with the care, compassion and professionalism that was shown to our dear Mum and all of the family...The moment we walked threw their door, We just knew that we had made the right choice. Lots of little personal touches by them made sure that the day went perfectly...Just as Mum would have wanted it... I can not fairly single out anyone... You were ALL amazing!!!.. Southwest Funeral Care were faultless. They made an awfully sad experience much easier to cope with. They were a huge support to myself and my family and continue to do so. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they did everything we asked for and more.At Southwest Funeral Care they don’t charge commission or extra when they work with others, you get it at cost price with the company.Honest, caring and supportive. I can’t say enough about them that will do them justice. A brilliant family run local business, that makes one of the hardest days of our lives an easier one.

Tuesday 18th May 2021! A very sad day for my family and I! However we was in the loving hands of Southwest Funeral Care who simply made everyone feel at ease! They helped give my Nan the send off she most definitely would have wanted! All the way through they really took us in with open arms and made the planning that no one ever wants to go through so much more bearable! Nothing was too much for them if we wanted it we had it! My Nan was so cared for and really looked so beautiful and at peace. I take my hat off to every single member of staff! Their Funeral home also is so beautiful! So warm and comforting and has real personal touch! This is a true Family run independent Funeral Directors with a wealth of experience!Thank you Southwest Funeral Care!Adam
