Do not trust Steve (Stephen Arthur) Hicks if he works with Regal homemaker or any other company. He has not finished the job we have hired his company to do and he left with a big sum of money that he has not worked for, now saying his company is insolvent. Lawfully he should not be able to trade and he should compensate the clients who had financial losses because of him, as it is obvious from other reviews as well.Note to the clients who sufered damages and loses because of Regal and Steve Hicks: Action Fraud might take notice of this fraudulent company and investigate if there are more complaints filed.

For the love of God don’t get anywhere near this company which is total scam and it’s owner one Stephen Hicks belongs to jail.They have harmed so many people that I feel we have escaped the worst-loosing all money and get a building project unfinished. Just read the rest of the reviews by their countless victims.He is currently liquidating this sham of a company, getting scot free to start his next fraudulent venture when he should be in handcuffs in police custody, allowed by the laws of this country.

I have had Regal replace several doors and windows on my house.All of ther staff were polite, timely and efficient and left no mess behind upon completion.Their standard of work was excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending them

Regal Homemaker Ltd is fraudulent and has caused us nothing but grief. DO NOT TOUCH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. After a couple of weeks work on a single storey extension, we stupidly paid Steve Hicks, a director of the company, the money requested which was almost the whole price. We never saw them again. The work done has to be demolished.

This company purchased Conservatory roofs from us (Premier Conservatory Roofs Ltd) and never paid for them. I have a CCJ against them. So don't use for anything.

This company are poor communicators, deliver an average at best, quality of work and are very slow workers. It took them a year to build a single storey extension.They had no respect for our property and often left surrounding areas a mess.Their electrician unplugged our fridge freezer when installing the lights, then didn’t plug it back in, he simply switched the electric back on by the fuse box. We lost food with no consideration or compensation.We are left with areas we need to finish before decorating- see pictures included.Overall, a stressful experience and I would never recommend their services.

Regal supplied and fitted our conservatory. The product and service were both excellent. The staff were all very friendly, polite and couldn't do more for us. The conservatory has changed the way we use the house and we couldn't be more pleased with it. Thank you very much for a really great service.

They have caused us nothing but stress and shattered all our dreams of having a new conservatory. The nightmare started from day one with their lies, broken promises and lame excuses. You don't have to take my word for it and don't believe what lies and total garbage they might write in response to this honest factual review. We were promised our conservatory would be finished within 3 weeks back in January. More than 4 months later our conservatory is without a roof, without glass in the doors, without a floor and the walls not finished nor the electricity is connected. To make things worse, they have refused to repair the damage they have caused to our property or take their rubbish away. The purchase agreement clearly states that the 2nd stage payment is due on completion of frames and roof yet they are demanding the money now. I've read and also been told by previous victims of theirs that they don't come back to finish the work after being paid, so I refuse to pay until the roof has been installed as per our agreement. They cannot be trusted and what they are doing is fraudulent. I've reported them to Action Fraud, Citizen Advice Consumer Service, Trading Standards, Oxford City Council and Swindon Borough Council so far. They keep threatening to take me to court for whatever different reason they come up with on the day but this hasn't happened and I'm still waiting to hear from their solicitor. I think it is clear why that is. Obviously they know they are in the wrong and have something to hide. They are all talk no action in more ways than one. Avoid at all costs.

I paid my deposit in October for a replacement window. Nothing has happened since so I tried to contact Stephen Hicks the sole trader. He is not answering the phone or e mails. However recent reviews give one a clue as it seems he is generally not responding. Then today 14th January 2023 I received a letter saying that Regal Homemaker is technically insolvent and ceased trading on 6th January 2023. It goes on in to say that the company doesn't have the necessary assets or money in the bank to enter into liquidation and so I have been invited to issue 'winding up proceedings'When Stephen Hicks visited me he clearly knew that he was in dire straights because others before me had started to complain in their reviews but he still tried to get deposits, he certainly got mine. Surely this is fraud because he intended to obtain money by false pretences?

Many thanks to Regal for my recently fitted front door and windows, they have completely transformed the look of my home. I have always been very pleased with the service and the fitters are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
