Interesting visit, nice seating arrangements. For a midweek, mid-morning some tables (and floor areas) did need cleaning though. The drinks took a tad to long for my experience. I'm not sure if the coffee machine wasn't up to standard or if the one staff member was struggling with the 2 orders logged. The cookie was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing because it was date day.

I visited Ole & Steen around Christmas to specifically sample the Mince Pie Festival Bun in collaboration with Meringue Girls. It did not disappoint and was one of the best filled pastries I have eaten - I hope it is back this year! The only drawback was the price BUT it was worth it in my opinion. We also got a cinnamon social to take away which was delicious and one of their classics. The coffee was ok but couldn’t fault their baked goods.

Friendly staff. Located close to the bus stop and shops from Westgate shopping centre. Plenty of space to seat and enjoy a coffee. Plenty or sweet and savoury options. Delicious danish bakery. Prices are are a bit high but quality is excellent. They offer brunch options

One of my favorite coffee places in Oxford. Delicious pastries, grear coffee and the staff is lovely! My morning chats with Francesca when I stop by before y bus are a highlight of my day! :)

Great cakes! My fav is the chocolate swirl, but this place is famous for their cinnamon socials (rectangular, cinnamon buns). I highly recommend you try them. Great quality food. Slightly on the expensive side but definitely worth a visit.

Visited Ole & Steen for breakfast, and it was brilliant. It's a Danish bakery and serves a multitude of baked goods along with sandwiches, toasties, and hot drinks. I went for a tuna melt toastie and sausage roll, both of which were great. The sausage roll was special as it had an additional filling of caramelised onions, which I've not tried before, which added an amazing taste to the roll. There was plenty of seating split over 2 floors. In line with cafe culture, there is no table service, so you self-serve. The pricing was very good. Highly recommended!

This is my latte this morning, cup half filled hardly an artisan coffee for £4.40.This is in Oxford quite frankly never had a good experience here. The London stores are so much better

Beautiful coffee shop but very very poor customer service, rude staff and unclean tables and sitting areas.Food quality was bad as the patisseries were let overs. The sandwiches were not fresh and could taste the cold and icy freezer.Wasn’t sure if it was a coffee shop or a library as it was full of students and working people who were just occupying the space without any orders and made it very uncomfortable to have chat as we had to be very quite so others could concentrate on their study or work. Not a very lively and sociable place and definably not worth going again.

Love the place!Love the atmosphere!Love the pastries and smoothies (except the spinach and mango smoothie)If I had one critique- it’ll be the way and manner in which one of the waiters approached us.We were having an Oxford African Students get together- and granted, maybe we were a bit loud! She was so impolite in the way she talked to us - I mean, it’s a public space ( wouldn’t want to go into a lot of details)But Ole and Steen gives value for your money, especially if you’re a sweet tooth!
