Small Prints Photography

We had our newborn shoot a little over 4 months ago and I honestly could not rate small prints highly enough. Donna was a magician with our newborn son and captured amazing and precious shots for us to keep forever. She worked well with us to make sure we got the shots we wanted but also to make sure our son was comfortable the whole time. We went at his pace and it was no bother to take a break so our little boy could be fed.We will definitely be back should we have another!!!!

Our 7-day old daughter Erin had her photoshoot with Donna @ Small Prints this morning and it was another unforgettable stress-free experience.This is the 2nd time we’ve visited, having previously been there before in 2015 with our first born daughter, Jessica.From start to finish you are made to feel unbelievably welcome, the sessions are far from being time bound & you feel as if you are in the comfort of your own home.Donna is an absolute dream with newborns and toddlers alike, she not only takes wonderful personalised photos & gives a relaxed and memorable experience but she’s also well informed to offer comfort, care and guidance to parents who are going through all of the challenges of having someone new to the world. My daughter was photographed by Donna at 13 days old, the experience from start to finish was amazing. The time and care she took with both my daughter and my 2 year old son was unbelievable I couldn’t believe the patience and kindness Donna showed towards them and to myself, my sister and brother in law absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Lunch was provided, drinks were there if we wished and a comfy waiting area with a tv and toys available which is perfect if you need to distract small children. The little touches made the experience unforgettable, the gifts we were all given and the photos captured were so special. The studio is warm and child friendly I did not feel any pressure to be chasing my son out, Donna was not bothered if he touched things. I couldn’t recommend small prints enough! if you want an experience where you feel relaxed, your baby is handled gently and lovingly I would recommend using small prints. Wow - what an experience! Donna is a client of mine and I work on the copy for her website, brochures, etc., so when my wee one was on the way, she offered me a complimentary shoot to get a real feel for her client care. Working on the website, I'd been going through hundreds of utterly incredible testimonials and they almost sounded too good to be true, so I was really excited to see the baby whisperer in action for real.I was not disappointed, in fact it was more impressive than I could have imagined. From start to finish, Donna was a true professional and we felt so special, and like her only clients. When I was still pregnant, we got the most beautiful welcome pack in the post with lots of little treats then, when little Oscar arrived, she was really flexible in picking the time and day to do the shoot. We had a lovely drive out to her studio: Oscar got lots of zzzz's in and we got a nice catch up in the car.We immediately loved it on arrival - the studio is so cosy, calm and welcoming and so is Donna. We got another wee bundle of treats (the gorgeous little booties are still sitting on display in Oscar's nursery) and were so delighted with the fresh, delicious afternoon tea spread - ideal for two sleep-deprived new parents living on M&S pop-in-the-oven meals!The shoot itself was wonderful - we were in there for a few hours but it flew by. It felt like we were relaxing at home: Donna was in charge and we were delighted to take a back seat! She handled Oscar with so much care and tenderness, and watching her guide him into the different positions was utterly fascinating - he was unbelievably calm the whole time and went wherever she put him. If he did have a little meltdown, Donna showed her baby whisperer side and quickly calmed him - and we picked up some tips in the process!The shots were so creative too - a mix of our requests and Donna's suggestions, and we knew it'd be a beautiful gallery once complete. It absolutely was, and she captured some of the most delicate little details that we'd never have thought to photograph, or been able to on our iPhones.Oscar is now four and a half months old and it's amazing to look back at the detailed pictures of his tiny little fingers and toes, his whisps of hair and his wee eyelashes - we can't believe he was ever that small! Thank you Donna for a wonderful evening out - we loved every minute and I'll look forward to doing any future copywriting with my own special experience in mind.

A truly unforgettable newborn photography experience and a must do for any new parents. Having used Donna at Small Prints previously for our son's photo shoot we knew we were in the best possible hands second time around for our daughters shoot, 4 years later the experience remains 5 stars and the photos incredible. The location and studio are top class and the facilities & afternoon tea provided add to the overall experience. I would 100% recommend Donna and Small Prints to all new and parent's to be!

We had a newborn photography session with our son a couple of years ago and found the session to be very relaxed and welcoming and have treasured images of him as a newborn. When our daughter was born this year we returned to capture this special time. Again our family was welcomed and made to feel at home. Donna understands exactly what life with a newborn is like and manages to make you feel comfortable and relaxed which comes through in the precious images. Wonderful memories!

When we found out we were expecting our second child there was no doubt in our minds who we would be booking our newborn photoshoot with after having such an enjoyable experience and truly breathtaking photos from Small Prints Photography with our first daughter in 2015. Everything about the service and product Donna supplies is first class. After I had confirmed our booking with a discount for being a returning customer we received a welcome pack through the post. This included all the information we would need for the day, a box of chocolates, lip balm and a scratch card where we won a free print!Being new parents getting anywhere on time is nothing short of a miracle so we arrived slightly late for the shoot but Donna did not mind at all and explained to us that she only takes one booking per day so you are in no way rushed. On arrival Donna ran through things and asked us if we had any specific poses we would like or any questions we'd like to ask. We had also brought our three year old daughter with us for some sibling shots and the studio was well equipped with a mix of toys, books, TV and wifi to keep her amused.A light lunch and snacks were provided and we were surprised at the amount of choice there was. Sandwiches, cakes, crisps, juices, tea/coffee, still/ sparking water something for everyone.The way Donna can calm and soothe your baby, keeping them asleep and happy while posing them is amazing, she is a true baby whisperer. You are spoilt for choice at the amount of props and accessories available.When we left our eldest daughter was given stickers and a balloon and we were given a gift for our baby and a bottle of alcohol free fizz, which was delicious!The attention to detail from start to finish of the whole experience is second to none and we would thoroughly recommend Small Prints Photography for your newborn photoshoot, excellent value for money.
