Martin is a rare man, a wonderful Barber and an exceptional human being. He gets to know his clients and always makes them feel welcome.If it were possible I'd give 6 stars.

A great place to get a low-cost haircut which is actually good. Music is cool, and there's loads of character and style. Barber is a really friendly guy who actually tells you what he's doing to your hair as he's cutting it. Gives tips for care and gave me exactly what I asked for.

I have great memories of meeting Martin at work and always got my haircut from him afterwards. Absolute top man, real nice and genuine guy to talk to. Sadly I don't live in the area anymore but will make sure to pay him a visit next time I'm down. Wishing him all the best!

Had an awful experience here with the Irish Barbour Martin. He wouldn't stop talking about such nonsense. And gave me a very basic poor hair cut left the front wonky and refused to take any more off. Shame as Rob the other barber here is great have used him many times, I won't be rushing back any time soon whilst Martin's there.

Can't recommend City Barbers enough, Martin is a real professional and has the experience to advise on the style that suits you as opposed to giving what you think you want.Trust this guy to do his thing and you will become one of his loyal customers.He has a great personality too :-)

Martin is a fantastic guy. He’s friendly, accommodating and knows what he’s talking about. Not only that... he can cut hair, very well that is. I’ve been coming to city barbers for the last 8 years and I will be returning

Appalling hair cut. The Barbour(not Martin) spent less than 5 minutes on the cut and didn’t even dry it after cutting. I have had my hair cut here several times before but I won’t be going again. Such a shame one Barbour could let don’t a normally good shop. Not worth the money

I’ve been going to see Martin for around 10 plus years now, Martin is an absolute legend. I always look forward to going to get my hair cut and having a good catch up with Martin. Martin has always been polite and professional every time I enter his barber shop.Martin has created a great place to visit to relax and unwind.I fully recommend going to City Barbers and visiting Martin for a haircut it’s a great experience.

Wish I could put 0 stars. Very nice guy but doesn't care for what you tell him. He does whatever he feels like would work. Uses cheap products and refuses to thin hair as good hair dressers shouldn't have to thin the volume out". Showed him a picture and got nothing like what I wanted. A lot of hair dressers on Canterbury and any are better if you don't want your head butchered."
