They are very caring and reliable. You can trust them to look after your pet and they have been looking after mine for over 10 years.

My jack Russell dog goes here whenever we go away. He loves it. I feel at ease as well knowing that my dog is being looked after and not caged up. Richard is so passersby on arrival and departure. I would not take my dog anywhere else.

As another reviewer has said, I think it depends on your dog! My two love it down here; they get super-excited as soon as they recognize where we are, and can't get inside fast enough. Last I usually see of them is them dragging Richard to the door! When I pick them up, although they are delighted to see me, they really don't want to leave. You know your dogs have had a wonderful time when they whine and cry with their noses pressed up on the window when you drive away. It may not suit some dogs - or owners - but I think it is wonderful, and have no hesitation in leaving my mutts there. They get the chance to run and play and rough and tumble with other dogs, and do all the doggy things they often can't. So they sometimes come back a bit muddy?? So what!! I'm sure lots of people come back from doing things they enjoy wet and muddy. I often reckon they enjoy the break more than I enjoy mine! As for the owner being rude/uncooperative, I have NEVER found them to be so - if you are friendly and polite, so are they. Pricey?? Well, perhaps compared to other kennels in the area - but what price your dog's happiness? Mine I know would hate being confined to a run for most of the day - here they get the chance to do all the doggy things that make life such a joy - for a dog!!

Always take my dogs here when we are away. They have a lot of fun and come back covered in mud and knackered from running around!

My dogs have been coming here for years. One of them was so nervous but he would get exited and run to Richard every time he arrived. All my dogs have loved it here. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Our Shitzu Poppy was a guest at the Dog Lodge while we went on holiday, Richard is always very accommodating with drop off and collection times, and I always fee that Poppy has a nice time while she's there. We feel confident that she's safe due to the fact that they are very particular about the dogs they will except. We have no reservations about using them in the future.

My Lucy has been staying at the Dog Lodge twice or three times a year for the last 5 years. Stays range from a couple of days to a fortnight and she loves it. She gets that excited wag and whine going as soon as we turn off the main road and she greets Richard the owner like a long lost friend every time. Lucy our German Shepherd is often filthy and knackered when we get her home, she has obviously had the time of her life there, running around with other dogs and had a better holiday than we do! lol.

Took my two dogs here for the first time last week, they usually go in kennels but couldn't book them in at short notice,we found the dog lodge and took dogs there, Richard the owner let us leave the dogs with him for a day free of charge to see how they got on,they seemed very happy,so we left them at dog lodge when we had a short holiday, our dogs were very happy there and seemed very content as far as staying away from home, Richard is very knowledgeable about dogs and knows how to look after them, the best part is that dogs are not confined to kennels, they get to wander around, meet other dogs and go and sleep when and where they like.I would recommend the dog lodge to anyone who wants there dog looked after when on holiday.

Harry, our Jack Russel, adores his holidays at the dog lodge. The dogs aren't caged or restricted in kennels, they get the chance to run free in a big field and snuggle up together. We've been regular customers for nearly 7 years and highly recommend the dog lodge
