Celia went above and beyond to help us. Gran wanted to be repatriated to Scotland and Celia was incredibly helpful in making the necessary arrangements as well as keeping us informed of progress, even during her annual leave. Whilst Gordon Barber were not handling the actual funeral themselves, Celia still recalled when it was and messaged to check in with us. She also spent a lot of time comforting my Mum. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in their time of need.

Gordon Barber in Eaton provided an excellent service. From the first telephone call, the staff were sympathetic and supportive throughout the process of arranging my mother's funeral. We were not sure what we needed to do and Celia talked through everything so kindly - at such a difficult time, it was like suddenly having a friend holding your hand who could help with anything and everything. The numerous choices and decisions were clearly presented (with their costs), together with very helpful guidance from experience and what most people like to do, but also completely respecting our preferences. Indeed, it felt like nothing was too much trouble. The phone was always answered promptly and there was never any rush to discuss what was needed or answer my questions. The respect and care shown by the staff on the day of the funeral was really touching. I don't often write reviews but hopes this helps others the find the support they need.

We were faced with arranging a funeral for our son, who died suddenly and unexpectedly. Celia, Tim, and all the team were a great source of advice, compassion, and support throughout this very unfamiliar process. They guided us through the complex system of dealing with the Coroner's office, offering a 'provisional' date as we waited for the release of the body of our son to their care". Gordon Barber arranged my husband's funeral in December last year. They were extremely caring , thoughtful and helpful at this difficult time.
