No offence.... You took my boiler that needed a new seal on the water input but decides he's got a boiler at home he will just replace it for 250 pound and take ours, boiler lasted a week before we had to get another plumber out who told us we had been essentially robbed so yeah thanks for that pretty sure I'm going to report them when I get 5 mins

We used this business to install an en-suite bathroom. Although the two workmen who came to fit it were both polite and punctual, we found that the work conducted was of a poor standard. We found a number of mistakes whilst the work was being carried out and we believe these would not have been rectified if we hadn't pointed them out. The workmen were messy and only cleaned up after themselves when asked. We dealt with the owner and I also found him to be uncomfortable and uncooperative, which included not ordering tiles when he said he had. They left our bins full and plastic cuttings all over our drive and blocked our only functioning other toilet whilst doing the job with grout! Overall, we would not recommend using this service..we only had to because it was our landlord's decision to hire them.

I had some work done by this company. Just after they had finished, I noticed that my water bill had gone up by treble. It was a few months before I realised what was happening. I took the lid off the toilet system and the water had been running continually 24 hours a day. Being under his warranty I gave him a ring and he came very quickly. He took a filter out that vanished and tried to get another job that could have been expensive and probably made things a lot worse. A Different plumber came today and fixed it very quickly with a new part and said the other one was not adjusted correctly. My losses could be around £500.00

Boiler was not heating water, had 4 heating firms come to have a look at boiler, they all said it needed replacing. Had Robert Whitfield come to have a look, said it was just diverter vavle, he ordered new one and came back 2 days later to fit it, works a treat now. Big difference between £280 and £1600.some firms are just to lazy or can't be bothered to fix things. We'll done Whitfields, if it can be fixed they will fix it, not try to fob you off and fit new boiler.

Called them out last year when pipe was leaking in the hall. Commented on my post natal body whilst I was holding my baby which was weird, gross and made me feel uncomfortable in my home. Plumping job was fine but the plumber needs to grow up

We rang ROBERT WHITEFIELD PLUMBERS this morning because our gas boiler lost pressure on Saturday morning. We rang & explained the problem to Mr. Whitfield this morning. Within 2 hours he had got 2 engineers to our house who traced the problem to a broken pipe joint under the floor. They repaired the joint fixing the problem. The engineers were very helpful, mannerly, pleasent & explained what they had done, left everything clean & tidy they were definitely a credit to the Company. We would have no hesitation in ringing them again. This is a Company which gives great customer service. Thanks again. Peter & Barbara

This business installed the boiler at our property several years ago, before we purchased it. They came out when ithe boiler failed, in February. They serviced the boiler and installed new parts and also repaired a toilet cistern which was leaking. They did the latter job at no notice, which was decent of the two engineers who attended.Overall I had no complaint whatsoever with the workmanship but the bill... the bill was another matter. The estimate for the cost of repair to the boiler was 200 pounds. When the invoice arrived it was for more than twice that, 422 pounds, including VAT!!Even allowing for the fact that Whitfields had fixed the toilet cistern, with parts on the van they arrived in, it did not justify a 422 pound bill.I queried the invoice, because it did not contain ANY information as to what parts they had replaced, what the cost of labour was, etc. there were no costs breakdown. As a VAT registered company, Whitfields are obliged to provide this information.. The bill did not resemble anything that a reputable VAT registered company would produce and I pointed this out.I then asked for a detailed bill with a cost breakdown. The only meaningful response I received was yesterday, more than two months later, which was a letter maintaining that the bill was accurate and threatening to come and remove the new parts and replace them with the old ones, which Whitfields had removed without asking permission. The parts legally remained my property. I found the suggestion - that Whitfields would replace working parts with worn out parts to be childish. No attempt was made to give the information I requested.I then contacted the business and suggested that either they give me the detailed invoice I had asked for, or accept an offer of 330 for both jobs, 200 for the boiler and 75 pounds to fix the cistern, inclusive of VAT, to which Whitfields immediately accepted. It was therefore apparent that they did not have any evidence to support the original invoice amount of 422 pounds and were unable to substantiate it - in other words, and although I asked them for a detailed cost breakdown, they were unable to give one.One explanation for this would be that they had inflated the cost of repair and were overcharging. In addition, they did not supply Pre-Contract Information, as they are required to do, by law. The response to this was, and I quote: I really cannot be bothered with the bickering and your legal requirements and facts and figures".That response should worry any potential customer - the legal requirements relating to contracts with consumers for the supply of goods and services are apparently optional

Damage all over the place and expensive. (Make sure you look at reviews on other sites).Didn't fix two problems they were paid to do.The owner was rude and only interested in getting paid in addition to making my 16 year old daughter upset and wife uncomfortable.Took a day off work for them to start and they didn't turn up and then made up lies about an appointment.Ripped off and beware!
