Rowan Wood Sports Therapy

Rowan is excellent. Came to my house for the consultation, had a good examination of my ankle and surrounding area to check for any related injury, and diagnosed the injury with a thorough explanation. Then he took me through some exercises I can do in my home to build back up the strength in the injured area, and most importantly he set a threshold that I should be able to cross before I can safely go running again without potentially aggravating the injury. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Rowan is clearly passionate about sports therapy and running, this came across in the session with me. He was professional and listened to my problem, did some tests that led to a diagnosis. He then recommended ways to overcome my knee issues and followed up a few days after with an informative email with the details about the session. He worked covid secure and there were no problems. Would 100% use his services again in the future.

I'm training for a half marathon and started suffering with shin splints 3 months from the race. Got in contact with Rowan, he arranged an appointment within days (very flexible in terms of home visits too), he diagnosed what the issue could be, offered expert advice in terms of training going forward and gave me set exercises to do. I saw Rowan another time for a sports massage, fast forward a few weeks and after sticking to the advice and exercises I was happy to report I was back up to running 12k pain-free. Would definitely recommend, thanks again for all your help!

I contacted Rowan about an ongoing tendon problem. I had seen various physios and Rowan was the first one to properly diagnose the problem. He gave me some exercises to do to help the injury. Also my wife had a back muscle problem which he helped her with. Very knowledgeable and professional I would highly recommend Rowan..I'm updating my review. Its been a few days since we saw Rowan..the pain I had around my achilles has gone for the first time in months..also my wife is pain free thanks to Rowans treatment. I have seen many physios over the years being an ex semi professional footballer and I would put Rowan at the top of the list

I've met Rowan for two separate injuries/niggles. One in the knee area and one in the ankle area. Both assessments were carried out thoroughly and professionally. After pinpointing the most likely problem/cause I was given different exercises to help out with both injuries. These were demonstrated and easy to follow. Futhermore, Rowan send out a detailed follow up notes" of the examination comprised of the assessment details and recommended treatment/advice which you have forever. For both injuries

i was suffering with a trapped nerve in my leg i book an appointment he came on time he made full use of the hour booked found the problem gave me exersize to do on my leg over the coming weeks , this has already helped a lot, very proffessional and well worth the money

Rowan visited me last month regarding an issue I was having with my calves (which is now under control!). He arrived on time, was nothing less than professional, and after an examination identified my problem. He walked me through various treatments, and a series of alternative training strategies which avoid the suspected cause of my injury. These don't take much time and are now training staples.A day or so later I received his very thorough follow-up pdf file, which summarised the session and put on paper everything I'd been told during the session. The follow-up also included helpful links to videos displaying the proper form for the recommended treatment exercises.Can't recommend Rowan highly enough, if you have an issue, don't exacerbate it like I did, get a session booked!
