From initial communication and discussing what would make the itinerary special for us, to providing a wealth of information for all our stops and places in between. The plan was wonderfully tailored to our interests. All of the bookings were seamless. This was one of our best planned trips ever. I have already recommended Tartan Road to many of my friends and I would not hesitate to work with Tartan Road on future Scotland travel.

Emily and the Tartan Road staff made our 16 day dream trip come to life. We spent over 1 year and a half planning our trip due to Covid. They answered every question in a timely fashion and were knowledgeable about all the options available to us. They were conscious of our budget and asked thorough questions to get to know us to ensure our trip fit our personalities. Their team was available 24/7 when we were in country to assist us. Just finished a two week trip that Emily and Tartan Road helped organize and manage. She's so great! I had ideas of where we wanted to go, and she provided the expertise of how to best juggle the itinerary to fit it all in. Then made great choices for accommodations in a challenging time -- post Covid travel to Scotland had skyrocketed and some places were still doing their best to catch up... she had a good sense of which hotels were up to par. And great recommendations for dinners and activities. It was so nice to have cars, trains, etc handled along with all hotel reservations in one place, so we knew if something changed along the way, we'd have help. Emily kept a tight eye on the ever changing train/strike situations to make sure we would be handled either way. Her communication is very detailed and very quick, especially given the time difference between LA and UK. Not sure when she and her team sleep quite honestly! Would definitely recommend using Tartan Road to friends.

Emily and The Tartan Road team planned the trip of a lifetime in Scotland. When I reached out to The Tartan Road with plans for a 9-day honeymoon in Scotland, Emily came up with a tailored itinerary to ensure we weren't driving endlessly, but still enjoying the best of this beautiful country. While we were interested in visiting our favorite whisky distilleries, Emily made sure to booked us the best restaurants and accommodations. From those first few emails to the last day of the trip, Emily had a constant pulse on any changes to our itinerary. When the weather in Islay was windy and rainy, she was extremely communicative about potential changes to our ferry departure back to the mainland. Every single day, from the moment we picked up our rental car to the sad day we dropped the car off, was incredibly smooth thanks to The Tartan Road's incredible service and planning. We kept the beautifully constructed paper itinerary as a memento for the trip of a lifetime!

We got connected to Tartan Road via the Visit Scotland website. Tartan Road was the only company to get back to us ASAP and were very diligent in learning about what we wanted to do on our trip. We scheduled a family vacation with Emily. She took a lot of upfront info via email and met with me via Zoom to get as much info about our expectations as necessary.The resulting trip was wonderful -- better than we ever could've imagined -- and Emily set up a number of personalized tours and experiences that fully took into account our two small children. We were able to experience a trip through Scotland via Edinburgh, Oban, and Inverness that we definitely could not have put together on our own.The cost was a small percentage of our trip total, and honestly, there is no way I could've done all that work upfront without help so the fees were well earned. She also helped us navigate through closures and coronavirus shutdowns.We were very, very impressed with Tartan Tours and would recommend them, and working with Emily, to anyone hoping to see the best of Scotland.

Just returned from an amazing 11 night trip to Scotland.Emily and the team at Tartan Road booked our itinerary and we stayed in 9 different properties on our very exciting trip.It was incredibly well organised and very clear that Emily and team had personally vetted all the accommodation which ranged from really nice hotels to family run bed and breakfasts.
