Decent for swimming but no jacuzzi in the health suite and the leisure parts of the swimming area still closed.

While the class (bodypump) was excellent and provided by a top notch trainer, the facilities are a big let down. The studio and gym are tiny. Floor damaged in the studio. The pool itself is not to bad but the rest of set up is terrible in drastic need of TLC.

The water palace has been about since 1995. It used to be a fantastic venue to go to however as like most council run facilities they do not have the money to run this to its full potential. The leisure side is rarely open and the outdoor pool has been shut for years with a smashed window and some green algae floating in the pool. The pirate ship/kids area is open more often than not but most of the animals that skoosh water have given up the ghost. The pools are always cold and not comfortable to be in for more than 30 - 40 mins, with the kids coming out with blue lips. The repair jobs look DIY" in nature rather than to a good standard. As I mentioned it's a real shame to the staff who are always friendly and hardworking."

A pirate ship with slide for the kidsThe staff and freindy and not judgemental. I really like it here.

Only swimming pool open and often not to general public due to swimming classes. No news on when the waterpark will open.

Nice pool, they have a very big space. It's a shame that for the most part it's not all used. Currently open is the 25m pool, which on open swims in the evening is usually split into two to share with those doing swimming lessons. The staff are friendly and informative and there are always plenty of Life guards on hand. There's a gym upstairs and classes which I wasn't initially aware of. Great place all in all for keeping fit.
