Lovely food pub , the food is fabulous ,especially the Thai food ,whichbeautifully presented .It's down fall is the coffee machine and kitchen close at 9.and unless staff mention it, you don't know . We had starters and mains all fabulous ,table cleared( about 8.45) waited for the girl to come back ,she didn't, one of the table went to find her ,to order coffee and dessert only to be told both had closed at 9 ( it was 9.10 by then ) .all 6 of us couldn't believe it and were very annoyed and disappointed . We then chatted while finishing our drinks and were asked to move to the bar to finish our drinks so they could clear the area .. that was adding insult to injury , we'd had enough by then so left .I'm tempted go back at lunch time for the food , but wouldn't bother for a night out with friends !!!!

We ate a family meal here as they specialise in Thai food.Although the food was lovely overall, some dishes marked as mild or medium were just far too hot and spicy!Lovely atmosphere.

I'd hear about The Buxton Inn and their amazing reputation of delivering authentic and totally scrumptious Thai food with both a full traditional English menu and a brilliant Thai menu.The staff at very efficient and attentive and made me and family feel right at home in their very busy restaurant.The food was delicious and came out in ample portions. Easily enough to satisfy and challenge you to empty your plate.I would highly recommend it to anyone.Well worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅️

I called in for the first round of the weekly quiz (Wednesdays) (I was delivering a live snake over the Pennines). My praises for David, his quiz, and his welcoming personality are all top of the scale. No reservations. The pub, staff, and patrons are quite lovely. Of all the pub quizzes I have been too, I can not think of one where not only is the quiz most excellent, but the food is just perhaps the best food I have had in a pub. This is a night out reader, tick off a Wednesday night (Dave is there every fortnite), take someone you love to The Buxton, get anything off the menu, do the quiz, leave a tip (You will have plenty of change from fifty quid), and then go walk up Werneth Low and gaze out over Manchester. That is a perfect night. Go on – mark it down – NOW!!!

Me and my wife went up for an early tea. With our great niece. Food excellent. We ordered garlic chicken sticky coconut rice ,chicken noodles .young gentleman served use and was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be calling again .John n jean

Really nice and welcoming pub and restaurant, great selection of Beers and spirits And without Doubt the very best authentic Thai food I've tasted outside of Thailand itself.Dogs are welcomed within the pub area which is a big plus for me and there's a quaint little beer garden round the back.The staff are also a credit to the venue and seem to be there for the long term which is always a good sign that the pub is run well, I can highly recommend the Buxton Inn for everything it offers.
