Bermuda Martial Arts

Bermuda is a great place to learn Jiujitsu. My partner and I joined earlier this year, and as with joining most martial arts gyms it can be intimidating (especially with Jiujitsu, and when you are smaller like us!) But head coach Liam is always ready to help, and is really attentive. The other members have also been so nice and welcoming. Just a genuinely cool atmosphere.That’s not to say it easy, its tough! But this is exactly the authenticity you want if you are really looking to learn and progress in this art. Ain’t no Bullshido here!Just rolled with my 90Kg buddy earlier this evening, and swept him with a move Liam taught us last week. Buzzing.Looking forward to our next class.

I trained at Bermuda about a year ago. I can hand on heart say that it is one of the best BJJ club I have attended. I was welcomed by respectful students with high skills. Coach Liam himself was brilliant in what he teaches and really takes care of the students. Due to the distance and family+work commitments I had to stop. However during my time here. The trainer pushed me the correct way and never held back in developing new skills in me. My BJJ game got better and better after each session and I just wanted to keep going back. I even won my gold medal in the first year or training with him. Which shows the level he teaches at. Honestly, I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely love to go back if my situation changes.

I cannot recommend Bermuda Martial Arts enough to ALL parents&even adults!Both our sons have attended classes since they were young with Liam…I now have a teen who attends adults classes&recently started private sessions with Brad&A 9 year old who is super confident&happy to attend each week.I believe this a life skill for our children.To protect themselves ,be disciplined and confident in a sound environment,whilst being taught by the absolute goats :) 5 stars everyday ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our youngest really loves his sessions, despite being pretty shy, everyone was really welcoming and now our son comes out bouncing with confidence and enjoys practicing at home with his older brother. Unlike other martial arts classes where you have to stand in lines and follow the leader, you can get stuck in safely with a suitably matched partner under their guidance which makes it really fun. It’s a great class with lovely kids of all mixed abilities, ran by and supported by great leaders.

I didn’t start BJJ till I was 41 years old (so I was very nervous), I tried another place first which was fine but I wanted to compare it, so I tried Bermuda Martial Arts…… and have never looked back, Liam is a fantastic teacher to everyone on every level. and everybody makes you feel so welcome. the beginners class is fantastic and as you progress there is some legitimate high level guys and they are all more than happy to help you along the way to improve your game. It doesn’t take long before you feel apart of the BMA family. I can’t wait to start my youngest when he turns 5. If your thinking about going here, don’t think, just do it you will not regret it.

Absolutely great place to learn a tough martial art. Liam provides a safe controlled environment and my 6 year old loves it. Happy to recommend to all.

Liam is a top class coach who pays great attention to detail to his students and offers positive feedback on how to improve all the time. BMA is also a great community which is very welcoming to beginners if you are considering starting the sport!

Liam is an amazing coach, he’s patient, dedicated & has a fantastic ability to train kids of any age & ability - & is somehow able to control a room of kids with a warm calm, manner. You son’s favourite activity!

Having trained BJJ all over the world for nearly 2 decades, I can safely say that this is the best jiu jitsu club in Leicester. Head coach Liam is a very high level instructor and competitor, carrying a wealth of knowledge and experience. He approaches his classes with enthusiasm and delivers clear, concise instruction that's easy to follow and sure to improve anyone's game from beginner to advance. He continues to build a great team of individuals, who are great fun to hang out with both on and off the mats.
