St Wulstan Church
Lovely little church on the way to the British Camp car park on the Malvern side of the hills. Didn’t go inside and wished I had! Came to see the graves of Sir Edward Elgar and his family. Amazing that this isn’t more we’ll known. Well worth the visit. Please be sure to donate to help with upkeep!

An interesting, unspoilt churchyard with well kept and well respected gravestones, including ghe Elgar family. Based in easy reach of Great Malvern by car. Worth a visit.

Lovely church. Really peaceful. Enjoyed seeing the Edward Elgar grave, very interesting. Church wasn't open at the time however.

The last time I entered this church was in 1967. My 11th birthday 24th March was on Good Friday in 1967. My father visited me that weekend later in life he told me that when he saw me that weekend he had not seen a child looking so ill since he had visited Bergan Belsun at its liberation. My memory of the church is blured by the brutality of where I was at that time. Today I visited the church the present priest kindly opened the church for me, it was it is wondrous, tomorrow the 24th of March 2023, and 66 years later, I expect to be just a tad more settled in my mind. Wishes of health and peace to all, William

This place is home to Edward Elgar's grave and that of his wife and relatives. For so many years there was no signage or indication that this famous composer was buried in the graveyard here, but there are now signs outside the church. The Church itself has some beautiful stained glass windows and an ornate Font annex.

Small, pretty, historically linked with the Elgar Family, regular masses, fairly welcoming congregation. Good hymn choices. Next to many hill and ridge walks on the Malvern Hills between Great Malvern & British Camp. Several Malvern Wells nearby. Small Jubilee Garden and obelisk close by also.

A lovely church. I have been visiting for Mass over Easter and the Church is beautiful; it is lovely to have a local hero buried here (Sir Edward Elgar); the Parish are a welcoming group; and the choir were on form and sung beautifully. It was a deeply spiritual and enjoyable church service - I will go out of my way to attend Mass when I am around the Malvern area!

Visited St. Wulstan’s on a lengthy Pilgrimage to Worcester Cathedral and found it locked on a Saturday. On calling the number of the Church Warden I was told I should have called ahead and that I can visit the grave of Edward Elgar instead.Firstly, why should I have to call ahead to have a house of God opened on a weekend if at all is beyond me.Secondly, I didn’t come to the Church to visit a grave! I came to it so I could kneel before the altar which was denied to me.It would seem this church is all for tourism and not the faithful.Very sad.
