This place is a little gem and I'm pleased we looked around and didn't settle for the nearest swimming lessons. Lovely pool for the kids, great location but best of all it's such a friendly place. The staff are brilliant and so good with the kids, especially the instructor Karen. She settled our 5yr old instantly and she looks forward to coming back every week.

Went for the first time for open swim today after friend said she cancelled her space for the open swim. Called 3 times this morning to notify them but no answer or call back so I just went as website said to just turn up. Was told that children were not welcome during week-even though my friend hd booked her 2 year old in and the website says it is open to all during that session! They sent me away with a distraught toddler, even though pool was empty anyway. Pretty rude and not very empathetic!

Such a shame that the customer service has been so poor since reopening after Covid!! My family of 5 had been regular swimmers there but haven't been back since they double booked my daughters birthday party at the end of last year (FOUND OUT THE DAY BEFORE) and am STILL waiting for my refund.

Great teachers, relaxed friendly atmosphere and fast progress. Structured approach and achievement certificates & stickers that keep kids motivated. Adult classes are amazing too covering all abilities from super beginners to improving strokes technique. Highly recommend in Ipswich!

I have been taking my children to First Strokes in Ipswich since December and have continued to be impressed! Rose and Oli have worked so well together teaching my children to swim and they also make it fun for them! I would highly recommend First Strokes!

Totally recommend swimming lessons here. My 4 yr old daughter has been coming here for a year, and progressed v well, learning all the strokes, and gained so much confidence in the water. Staff professional and spend time talking to the children. My daughter looks forward to her swimming lessons.

The facilities are good but communication and standard of service is shocking. Poor communication. Very expensive but doesn't provide a suitable service. Have had to follow up on too many issues. Tracking of progress is poor. A constant change of teachers. Would like to see a vast improvement in communication, tracking children's progress, esteeming young children to succeed and continuity of teachers. in total a child will actually swim for 5 minutes, the rest of the time is spent hanging onto the side waiting their turn. Currently very upsetting

My son has attended several swimming schools but since being at first strokes his swimming has improved ten fold. The friendly instructors make it a pleasure to be apart of the experience. I wish I had started him off here straight away.

Lovely and warm for the babies. Changing room had nice pink lights on the ceiling which my baby liked.Only thing is carpark spaces aren't very wide so challenging getting little ones in and out.Overall great and going back soon x

I literally only came into the building to ask for directions but the ladies were so lovely and helped me find where I needed to go. They were welcoming and kind. Very grateful! ❤️
