Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Dumfries

We had an emergency as our personal car got involved in an accident in Scotland whereas we had to leave it behind and couldn't get home to Germany. Fortunately Enterprise Dumfries was able to get us a rental just a few minutes before their office closed. Special thanks goes to the staff member Emma who arranged everything seamlessly and quickly. We were able to carry our dog and rent the car one way to Dover where the drop-off also went rapidly with the local office (only the traffic within Dover is a mess, so if you're going there, calculate an hour minimum to get to the Enterprise office). Thanks Enterprise & of course Emma for saving us!

Check Your Van Fully before taking the key! We hired a van today salesman was spot on but between us and him never checked the rear drivers side of the van. We made a single run when moving house van in the driveway both times zero chance of anything touching the van and upon return a different salesman's man notices the damage and when I asked the original one about the fact we didn't check that side this morning his reply was he couldn't remember he did admit to having a long weekend with guid neighbours and apologised because he kept swearing but we are currently without our £200 deposit and unaware of what is actually happening next! I get they cant take everyones word for it but the van was checked on Friday with damage moved about until this morning and I put £6 diesel back in because of how little the van was used. The horrible uneasy feeling when returning a van should put any one off using here please avoid if possible or be careful

Despite being a so called 24 7 car hire company. Visited three branches after a pretty traumatic accident. No cars available in any of the locations we visited one member of staff even laughed rather than being considerate. Do not recommend for emergency help.

We needed a hire car after mine broke down. RAC were lacking with communication so we called this branch direct. Jack helped us immediately. His customer service was amazing, he was polite and sorted us out with a car within minutes. Once we arrived to collect, the whole process ran smoothly and we couldn't recommend these guys more!Super easy and speedy car rental and the team are lovely and friendly.Thank you so much, you have no idea how much we appreciated your help!

Booked a premium vehicle online, night before pickup. Arrived at 10am next day to be told no vehicle available for me. Said they'd been calling my mobile - no missed calls, no answer phone message. Only thing they could offer was a LWB van so had to drive to Aberdeen (4.5 hours) in that.What do you call a vehicle rental company with no vehicles? Enterprise.Tread very carefully when booking with this company as it is not what is says on the tin. No discount offered, no goodwill gesture and they even refused to cover the additional fuel costs that the van was obviously going to consume. Truly awful experience.

A very pleasant experience, no dramas like with other rental places. Professional outfit. Great value and the staff especially G treated me very well. Highly recommended because this place is about the customer obviously. 10/10.

I hired a van from the Dumfries office via an online reservation. I had to speak to someone at the central call centre to finalise the booking, the member of staff was very helpful and promptly completed my order.When I arrived at the office all the staff were very busy however Mohammed took his time to throughly inspect the vehicle to make sure I wasn’t charged for any dents that might have already been there.The van was in good working order and had been cleaned prior to my arrival. After dropping the van off I completed my 20 mile journey home only to realise I had left my glasses in the dashboard, I contacted the office and they confirmed they were there. Instead of me having to drive a 40 mile round trip Mohammed organised for one of his staff to drop them to my home within 3 hours of my call.They really went the extra mile for me today!Thank you.

Beggars can't be choosers, so needing a car to get home after a break down. Only available vehicle a bloody great transit van! Very uncomfortable to sit in and drive.Light on from the word go saying oil change needed and engine management system light came on before we got home. Lucky I wasn't needing a second break down recovery! Surely vehicles should be properly serviced before customers get them?
