Ed Williams Drum Lessons

Ed’s drum lessons are the highlight of my week since he teaches with passion and great knowledge. He works with patience with my dyslexia and always tries to understand his students’ mind. He mainly wants his students to enjoy themselves, as well as excelling musically. He’s a great teacher, and one I won’t forget!

I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with Ed and would highly recommend lessons with him. Ed has an incredible way of breaking down new concepts, rhythms and really pushes me through learning difficulties. I feel like I've made more progress in the last 6 months than I did in the total time that I played drums at high school. He even sourced a second hand electric kit for me, which has been invaluable to practice on quietly in between lessons.

Ed is a brilliant teacher!He is highly knowledgable, patient, and always engaged. He is happy to work with the music you enjoy and guides you to learn some of the basic elements of drumming. He is encouraging and passionate about playing the drums. The lessons are fun and inspiring. Ed is a brilliant teacher!

Absolutely brilliant teacher and his passion for drumming is palpable. Works with whatever level you're at, understands your learning style and makes sure you're equipped to play whatever you set out to play. My first lesson I told Ed I wanted to build my confidence in playing and understand basics, and about 3 months later, that's exactly what we achieved together. To the point where band members that I play with at my Church openly remarked how good I had gotten in such a short space of time. I now look forward to playing at Church every week with complete confidence! Highly highly recommend.

I started having lessons with Ed a few months back and he's been brilliant. After starting to learn the drums on my own I decided to take lessons for some more directions. Ed was recommended through a friend and he has helped me improve on things I have already learnt as well as taught me new skills. He is always happy to either work through songs I suggest or work towards my grades and gives clear feedback and pointers on where to improve. Ed has been working with Dimitri for.the last 8 years and continues teaching him. I have seen the way that he is working with Dimitri and how invested he is in my Son's progress. I would fully recommend Ed as a teacher with all my heart.

Ed is a brilliant teacher, his lessons are very enjoyable and challenging at the same time. He has a great passion for drumming and music in general...this really shines through in his delivery of lessons which he tailor makes according to your needs. He knows exactly how to pick up on your strengths and areas needing improvement and gets straight to the heart of that quickly during sessions. He has a very intelligent approach to teaching and (if required) uses reading of drum parts to improve your technique and understanding of what you are playing. Ed composes his own exercises and patterns to help you learn and even transcribes parts for you if you want to learn a particular song etc. Ed's approach is unique and very effective and inspiring, whatever your level of playing. I came back to drumming after years of not playing and Ed has got me right back into it and boosted my confidence and enthusiasm.

Ed made the lessons really enjoyable, while perfectly combining the theory with practice. There was so much variety in every lesson which I really appreciated. He's a very good teacher, is likeable and knows how to get the best out of his students. I would highly recommend Ed as a drum tutor!

Ed has taught my daughter for about three years now and his lessons have become more and more important in my daughters development. Not just as a drummer, but as a human being.
