My 18 year old daughter went to Tesco this afternoon with her sister to buy me, Dad some ciders. My daughter had her ID on her and her sister did not touch the alcohol, my 18 yr Old was refused to buy them because the cashier assumed she was buying it for her sister. So they left and came home. My wife then went down to buy the cider, and as she was getting served she mentioned that our daughter got told she can’t but it, SO THEN the cashier told my wife she can’t buy them either? She’s 53 years old REALLY? She then asked for a manager, and he did allow her to buy the cider eventually. What a joke, time and petrol wasted!! Very unhappy customers who do all their shopping at Tesco Transitway.

Self service what can i say about Tesco Transit way the blonde young girls that work self service are okay but do laugh when not looking don't smile when im shopping god the very little staff girls who just started cant SMILE only when talking 2 well i have an autistic son(Mental health) 30 cant help how he acts in public he tries to by holding on to trolley to keep his movement slow but most time he's leaving he hear's them giggling as if talking over their headsets he even caught 1 near the exit looking at him he had head down saw her in the corner of eye when leaving outside very sad and quiet. 1 staff he had the HOTS for her big time when she 1st started very quiet & polite now she not but she nice 2 other customer's . when he travels on his own to enjoy his solo visit's at least he did just to be himself we are local just a 5 min walk with his legs but 30s by 50 bus he told me this keeps head down/nervous other staff fine/okay but she not has to wait for her to be busy before paying she even talks bout him out over headset when she (sees) him outside when he gets ready to go in such as the windows she grin's as if to say he(here) look before talking over headset. Now since talking over headset (ALL) female staff who were NICE to him treat him/us with (SPITEFULNESS) they even whisper into headset mouth peace when giving (Service Checks) thanks to her blocking our Clubcard for (Scan as you Shop) 2 not deal with us (Bullies). Rules of workplace u (MUST) be proffetional even when not liking (That) customer making them uneasy. He now banned for his looking/browsing he only LOOKS cuz he finds them as friends now even the nice 1s are now nasty to him (They) the NICE staff even (Banned) him. He said sorry to for looking she still laughs at him

Would give absolutely no stars if I could. My Mother had just purchased her shopping in your store. She wasn't offered a receipt upon payment. But had paid none the less. She decided she'd like to use the loo before leaving the store. However the loos are the other side of the checkouts. Which she had crossed after paying. Upon leaving the toilets she was approached by a VERY RUDE, VERY AGGRESSIVE guard who severely accused her of shoplifting. He was absolutely vile. Because she hadn't been offered a receipt she wasn't able to prove she had just paid for her shopping immediately. It wasn't until she was able to prove of her purchase through her banking app that he walked off. No apologies, nothing. My Mother left the shop in hysterics followed by a panic attack in the car. Never again will we be shopping in this store. Your employees are disrespectful and their behaviour is nothing less than utterly disgraceful. Shame on you Tesco Transit Way. Do better. Do better.

Too many self service checkouts , which don't work a lot of the time and hardly any staff. Staff that are there are rude. So frustrating. Bring back Normal checkouts and train your staff in customer service. Still the worst Tesco I've ever been to. Staff are rude and more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers.

Quite possibly has the rudest staff employed by any supermarket!Minus the odd one or two most staff especially checkout and kiosk staff are unhelpful and outright rude.I feel a mass staff training review is needed in here.

Just had a Normal day shopping here and needed some help at the checkout and a staff member called Zoe F assisted me in the checkout. What an absolute breath of fresh air she is!! She has brightened up my day! Excellent customer service skills and calm. It's nice when people talk to you more staff should be like Zoe.Keep up the good work :)

A good place to shop. Some products are price matched with Aldi and they do their own brand goods which are competitively priced. There's an adequate choice, and the fresh bread is cheaper than Lidl and nearly twice as big! Good choice of fruit and veg. The staff there are absolutely lovely, always helpful and willing to advise. Only just misses out on 5 stars as a small number of staff who work in the petrol station aren't very customer focused. On a recent visit, the young lady serving at the station was so engrossed with her mobile, I could've been wearing a dinosaur costume and she wouldn't have realised. Not even a thanks after I said it.

Very poor for home delivery! Do not care if they turn up an hour early! But if you have disabilities or mental health or even lose someone they don't care! I've sat waiting many times! But then had only part of my order! Seems as its the holidays they prefer to make sure the tourists get their delivery and not a regular local! Wouldn't take payment even though they hadn't reached my home yet, I was on the phone when the van was meant to b on my road! Ended up on the phone for 45 mins! Told me I won't be getting it!With the bad stocking issues on top! I think I'll now change shops! The woman on the phone at the store speaking to the guy trying to get my order to me today was just blunt to him and won't let me have it lol that's fine! Nearly £200 order and I order every week! They can mess me around but couldn't just take my money and let the van give me my order that was in the van anyway! Now they have set off my mental health and I have no food in my home!!! I'm starving! Battling an eating disorder! And now too anxious and depressed to go to a shop now! Thanks!I will b cancelling delivery saver too! Done with it!

When you read the comments about the rude and dis-respective staff, how about this one? Went in there in my wheelchair and was addressed as Oldie to my face. All right

I use the click and collect service here, more than going into the store itself, and I have to commend Simon and especially Richard today. I have a rare neurological sleep condition and slept through 7 alarms this morning, meaning I'd be a few minutes late to collect, and I was worrying about it on the drive to store. However, there was no reason as Richard gave me a quick call just to check on me, and waited for me to arrive before carrying on with his work day. Both Richard and Simon were very understanding and helpful. The reason I don't go into that store is because of the disabled access when you need to use a store mobility scooter. The disabled parking runs in a line heading away from the store going downhill. If you're lucky enough to park closeby, you have to cross the road, using the pedestrian crossing, through the wind tunnel, then over to Customer Services to queue for the key. If you're lucky, someone is available to get it from behind the tills. If not, it's more walking. However, there's still a one way in/out system in place, since covid, that makes going behind the tills from the other side of the store very hard indeed. In fact, after using the scooter, there's then no way to go back to Customer Services, as the route is blocked off by the one way in/out system. So I have to try to grab anyone's attention from where the scooters are kept, so a member of staff can get me a small trolley (so I can take my bags to my car) and to return the key to Customer Services. It's a very difficult and clunky system that really needs revising.
