Very nice shop and helpful staff.Experience though was very sales focused.when trying on shoes…I don’t need any socks thank you…“What most people do is also buy the socks you have tried on”. I don’t need any wax thank you “I’ll go get you some… here is the wax I recommend”. “My son has a pair of these actually and uses them all the time”. “Let me take you over to the desk (with the shoes) and you can pay for them here”. Even When Paying with card, written on screen, “would you like to make a 50pence donation…”It’s a bit too much and ruined the experience a little

Came in to browse some boots as I find they never last. This is the first outdoor shop where I feel like I've been served by people who don't only know the products but actually use them. This was the best experience I've had purchasing boots - I was told about care techniques, how to make them last longer, hints on lacing them up and advice given on some of the mountains I plan to get up! I highly recommend and suggest asking for Stuart who served me - extremely knowledgeable

Great range of outdoor equipment and staff are helpful. Also with runnersworld “built in” they also have a good range of running equipment …. They have some trail running equipment but not much. However as it’s linked with outdoor shop if your into trail running it’s a great place to visit.Picked up a great priced sleeping bag on my last visit.

They have a good selection of outdoor clothing, footwear and accessories. I find them pricey so don't forget to check their price match against other store's.

Appalling service. I waited five minutes to ask a shop assistant for a shoe to try on and was ignored, despite several tries to ask for help. There were a few assistants about but they focused on offering help to older, male customers. Maybe they didn't believe I was actually there to buy. This felt an elitist frustrating shopping experience.

Visited here after suffering with really bad blisters when walking. After scanning my feet for size and width I needed some new boots.A number of brands and sizes were brought out for me to try on. Ultimately settled on a pair of Merrell which were at the lower end of the price points in store. Had a walk in them yesterday and they were amazing.The staff are extremely knowledgeable and will help to find the right fit for your needs.
