I've been playing for 20+ years and I teach guitar as well, but I've always felt there were some large gaps in my skills and knowledge so I reached out to James for lessons. It was definitely the right choice! James is an excellent teacher whose student-centered approach makes lessons both relaxed and deeply engaging. I especially appreciate Ben's talent for explaining musical concepts clearly and giving practical assignments that offer just the right amount of challenge. I started lessons from scratch and built up knowledge of patterns, chords and solos with James. I searched for so many years to find a good guitar teacher but finally lucked out with James. He’s the only teacher who has helped me progress. I may as well have started as a beginner when I met him but in the last year I’ve come further than ever before. He’s brilliant, encouraging and just a pleasure to spend time with. James is an excellent teacher that I have been coming to for a number of years. He can play and teach a multitude of guitar styles and is always very encouraging. He is very happy to help you learn the songs that you want to learn as well as suggesting others that will help your development. James is also happy to help record your playing and assist you in composing your own songs if you want to progress onto song writing as well.
