Great food, Had Salmon cooked well and hot, great flavours, followed by fresh Figs, plus old fashioned cocktail. Also had a Hitchin spiced Honey Rum and decided to purchase a bottle of that! Reasonably priced food and drinks, bearing in mind the standard of the venue. Great and friendly staff who made us aware of up and coming events, as a local can’t believe we have always skipped over this place in the past, but no more, especially as it’s within walking distance!

Afternoon tea shared with a friend. Attentive service, gave us space and time to chat. Food plentiful and tasty. Good choice of teas. Pot refilled as requested.Highly recommend. Will certainly visit again. Thank you

Celebrated mine and my partner's anniversary with a lovely dinner. The venue comes very nicely presented with wood and marble features, clean and welcoming atmosphere.Got seated in the main dining room, had a couple of cocktails while waiting for our starters , then wine with our mains. My steak was perfectly cooked to my taste.Overall was a delightful experience and definitely reccomend.

Not a bad meal , could have been more squid on the starter ..literally got about 10 pieces , salmon was OK, nothing mid blowing but not bad , alright to shout about but OK if you are staying in the hotel.

went in 2 days ago and the place is disgusting and needs to sort itself out. Overheard a member of staff talking to another like absolute trash, waiting time on food was ridiculous, not very approachable people. Couldn’t care less if it was a ‘bad day’ for them, leave your personal issues at the door or hand in a resignation, it’s not that difficult! I could also notice a lot of flies in the building and a rotten smell, I’ve worked in hospitality for 6 years and there’s no way I’ve ever worked in that state let alone walked into a restaurant as bad as that. Management should treat their staff better, their work ethic just might improve!

Went with friends for Sunday roast although menu was very varied if you didn't want a roast. Lots of other imaginative, tasty options. Food was excellent, good portions and well prepared. Couldn't fault any of it, beef was generous and tender, potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Three course menu was excellent value with lots of choice, all served by friendly efficient staff in classy comfortable surroundings. I will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.
