Lings Wood Nature Reserve
Great place if you like a walk or also have a dog. Lots of squirrels so watch out if your dog likes to chase them as they are everywhere. Nice if you like birds and wildlife in general and good for family aswell as a walk alone on a nice day.

Lovely place to walk a little oasis in the eastern district.plenty of wildlife to see rabbits squirrels foxes even a handsome woodpecker. Pity idiots are using it as a tip in the car park skip.i suggest the wildlife trust starts shutting the car park to vehicles at night .people would think twice if they had to walk from road with there rubbish..

Only been briefly, but from what I can tell it's a great place to take a stroll, well located and a play park near by. It's just it's hardly gonna take your breath away...

Very nice walks but plenty to be improved, like tidiness, a lot rubbish on the floor, some paths are blocked with fallen trees and could be cleaned as well, otherwise would score 5*

Lovely walk through the woodland with a huge variety of trees on offer to look at there is a solid path that runs all round the outside so is accessible for wheelchair users. Lots of nice wild life to watched

The pathways could be better but it's great for dog walkers and cyclist who just want a gentle run or teaching someone to cycle.

Rubbish overflow by bins . The wood has interesting paths throughout. A outer path circles the wood took me about 30 minutes to walk around path. Walk across football field (skate park to right hand side) there is a entrance to wood ahead.I parked at end of Lings wood park field ( road bears to left) follow to field car park open until 8.30pm from April. closes earlier before April. has a barrier they would close up.

This is a great place to to walk your dogs. An outer path is a decent slog with many smaller paths that take you into the woodland. There is some litter so if your pooch likes to eat rubbish, be a bit cautious. Loads of wildlife - foxes, squirrels, deer and beautiful bright cornsnakes can be spotted
