Friendly staff, great service but needed a bit more of a clean. Would go again regularly if slightly cleaner. Toilets appalling, tables not wiped but bar staff are fantastic

The Sun is very convenient in the centre of Shipley. It has a roof top seating area with excellent views down the Aire valley and local hills. Drink prices are quite cheap. There is entertainment every weekend with karaoke and singers.

Wouldn't know much about the place seeing as just get through the door to the Barmaid shouting over that children aren't allowed in, bearing in mind child is 5month old. 2019 & people still not liking families in their establishments & a hotel to say the least. Custom well & truly their loss on this occasion.

I was astonished to learn today that I have been enjoying gin and tonic, wrongly for the last fifty three years. According to the woman behind the bar, I have to say before the drink is served,please don't put all the tonic in my double gin.Gin and tonic if served separately ie.Gin, ice, lemon, tonic,bottled is the customers preference as to how much tonic goes into the glass.Not only that,but it was insulting to her personally, that I had the temerity to even bring the subject up. Having been in hotel profesion for the vast majority of my life I know of what I speak!This review replaces a very good review, written a year ago. Sad really! to be down graded by someone so unprofessional, as to correct and then argue with a patron.
