First time at halfway house, hubby and son tried the cook your own steak and wish I had as theirs tasted better. Service was good.

Warm friendly welcome. Nice & clean everywhere. Waiter Service Very good. Party of 5 of us for a birthday celebration. Food delicious cooked to our liking & presented very well..nothing to much trouble. Even took our group photo for us..Will definitely be returning & will certainly be recommending. Also good size car park.

Visited in the summer and it was not the best. However, this visit was much better. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Could have done with more staff when not busy, but understand why there was not more due to running costs.

Lovely place, friendly staff and great food. Its a fun touch, cooking the steak at the table, can cook it exactly how you want it. And on top of this, reasonably priced for the quality.Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Can not fault the food it was beautiful , we had the steak cooked on the rock, nice clean place. We felt very rushed with the service. We had just put our knives & forks down and they were there to collect and ask us if we wanted dessert. We said ' yes in a bit', next thing he has come over with the dessert menu and asked what we wanted. Again as soon as we finished that, he was over again to clear our plates and said I will get you the bill. I expected him to ask if wanted anymore drinks or coffee but no it was time to leave.

Unfortunately only 2 other people in the resteraunt. The young lady who served us was very nice and the food was lovely. This was today Wednesday lunch time. Hopefully more people will arrive for tea as it is a nice place to eat.

This restaurant has always been a favourite place of mine.The volcanic steak was lovely (which is what I go for). However my foody relation is dairy free so when we enquired about the pudding/sweet menu. Nothing could be offered to accommodate. All contained cows milk.We decided to have a coffee instead to finish off a birthday meal and after the waitress asked the kitchen if they could offer a 'dairy alternative'. The answer was no sorry.No pudding or coffee to finish a lovely main meal.Really guys in 2023.......no dairy alternative. I'm disappointed.Service was great, the young lady tried to accommodate our requests.Very quiet as it was a lunchtime.Will I go again, probably not as a dairy alternative is a small ask in this day and age.

Brilliant had a lovely Sunday lunch roast beef with all the trimmings we were so impressed we went back on Thursday and had hot rock's the ribeye steaks it was a fun experience if you have never done it try had a lovely meal would definitely go again

Went to the half way house for a nice evening meal, however was very disappointed with the whole 2 and a half hours spent in there. We ordered two BBQ pulled pork burgers. They were DRY, NO BBQ and cold. We also ordered two steaks medium. They came out completely rare and unable to cook them on the hot stones given. Then once complained about the steaks and asked them to be cooked in the kitchen was told it was are own fault as are waiter didn’t hear us say medium. The steak again came bad rare and in the end after everyone else had finished the meals, I requested the steak to be taken off the bill. The food was disgusting overall and the manager was rude.
