Pets at Home Chester

My dog did you know what on the grass outside. Once I picked it up not a bin could be found. The lovely chap in pets at home happily disposed of it for me. Thank you. I went on yk buy a gorgeous dog bet which was a very reasonable price, which as you can see is a succes.

It was a clean and tidy place. Could find what I wanted with ease. The bed i bought for my dog is a great buy and can't wait for him to get used to it..

Pet lovers beware! My mother placed an order for her beloved dog… she had just been told she has Leukaemia & was concerned to have some food in place for her beloved dog: placed in our care. I left Clatterbridge Hospital distressed drove straight to the store in the rush hour!They could see the order (paid for on line!) But, the ‘system’ wouldn’t allow me to take the food! They bemoaned bad experiences with customers! I showed them the picture of my mother taken just! They stood their ground… I asked about cancelling the order & then just said stuff it and walked out!They will never be seeing me again!

Always find something to buy in the store although some items you can buy cheaper elsewhere.

everything for pets... even a biodegradable house for a mouse we humanely trapped in our kitchen and went to relaese but my wife demanded we bought him a little house to live in then spent 20 minutes finding a spot in the woods for it... no planning permission.. nothing.

This is a well-stocked store with staff that I've found polite and helpful across many visits. The small number of gerbils and rabbits are well-kept, and likewise, the fish tanks are all spotlessly clean with no sign of any algae bloom or disease.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting pets at home in Chester, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude and unhelpful staff members who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers. One with the name badge “Callie” seemed to enjoy giving me dirty looks. Their lack of knowledge about the products they were selling was evident and left me feeling frustrated and ignored.As if the disinterested staff wasn't bad enough, the state of the shop itself was appalling. The aisles were a chaotic mess, with pet supplies scattered haphazardly, making it difficult to find what I needed. It felt like walking through a minefield of clutter and confusion.But the worst part by far was the utter lack of hygiene. The shelves were coated in rat droppings. It's both disgusting and alarming to think that a pet shop, of all places, would have such a blatant issue with rodents running amok.To make matters even worse, there were puddles of water pooling around the fish tanks, which were clearly not being maintained properly or even attempted to be cleaned up. And it was clear that the animals' well-being was not a priority for the staff.Overall, my experience at this pet shop was extremely disappointing and distressing. I would strongly advise anyone looking for new pet supplies to steer clear of this place. The staff's rudeness, combined with the disorganized and filthy environment, raises serious concerns about the animals' welfare and the shop's commitment to providing a safe and caring environment for pets and customers alike.
