Very pricey for a small dingy curry house. I paid £23 for a main meal with 2 poppadoms and a drink. I ordered a medium spiced dish and although it was tasty, it had no spice to it at all. There are better places to go for a curry in Chester so I'll be avoiding this one in future

Grim!Worst take away curry that I've EVER had the displeasure of bringing home.The chicken was tough and chewy... how do you even make chicken chewy??? My Naan bread has an odd fishy smell about it. You'd do well to avoid this place.I would honestly have an Asda dingmeal" curry over this."

Don't be fooled by its better looking neighbour, this is the place to go to for excellent Indian food, great service and excellent value. Looks aren't everything, right? Yes, the interior is a little sparse but the service from Hussain and the rest of the team was second to none. We've eaten next door in the past but won't from now on. Give City Spice a try and you won't be disappointed by the food or the service.

The best Indian in Chester by a long way. The food is consistently excellent. The service friendly and unfussy. The chef is awesome. We eat curry regularly all around the country and there are few that can match City Spice and its extremely rare a meal exceeds them. Forget Rusholme and Brick lane, this is the best.

Do not be fooled by the front of the restaurant. (Avoid Gate of India)City Spice food is 10/10, service is outstanding. The waiter was happy to explain the dish.The food was faultless, everything is fresh & tasty.I grew up eating Indian food & I have to admit it's one of the best food I've eaten.

I wish there is something beyond 1 star and I can stamp it on their face.my train from Chester was at 7:35 I was in hurry therefor I have ordered a takeaway vegetable biriyani, but later on we found we can manage the time so we requested to eat in and we paid £3 extra.I have served in a dirty/filthy plate, I have informed the two attendant (one is goaty another young boy), the goaty one shamelessly saying it’s not dirty/nor filthy. Had to leave the food and ordered from just next door (gate of India ).I forgot to check their health n hygiene ratings...Indian food scammer...Please look at the bottom right corner ...

Absolutely cannot fault. Absolutely beautiful food. Amazing quality and taste. Been to lots of Indian’s and this is by far the best. Would recommend to anybody.
