Basic accommodation, hard to get to from the train station (pre book a taxi as Uber & taxis are hard to find!). In the middle of nowhere. Staff are kind. Very basic rooms, bathroom didn’t look or feel too clean unfortunately.

I booked to stay for 1 night but the website malfunctioned and charged me for 5 nights! I rang immediately to advise of the situation. This was 2 weeks ago. Still haven't heard back regarding a refund. Cost me £360 for 1 night stay. Booked a family room, a pile of dirt was left outside our room for the full duration of our stay, the toilet was leaking and so was the soap dispenser. Soap all over the floor making it slippery. Not ideal with kids. I would give 0 stars for poor customer service.

Clean and comfortable but very sparse and too far out of Cardiff centre for social purposes. No extra pillows and limited facilities in the room. Packed breakfast failed to materialise and coffee/tea was limited. Essentially just a bed.

We stayed for 10 weeks with our dogs the rooms were very clean. The staff were amazing very friendly and made our stay a happy one, we felt like one off the staff due to our long stay while waiting to buy a house.We will book in to this Travelodge again and tell friends and family to use this one.

As mentioned by others this place needs major improvements and modernising. Room chair had holes in in and damage the door frame was repaired terribly. Bath had rust surrounding the drain and bathroom door would not close properly. The room was freezing cold on arrival and radiator would not heat up enough. Hotel does not have it's own entrance so need to go into services to get to the hotel.Useful to stay at after long drive as is right next to motorway in service station. Could not hear cars on motorway but still had immature guys in parking lot revving their cars for no reason.Definitely not worth the price it was.

The bad points first. The Hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. Rooms are dated, shabby and feel generally tired and a bit grubby. The Hotel corridors are tired and a bit smelly. There's nothing within walking distance. It's expensive for what it is compared to Premier Inn, Premier Zip. The good points were that it gave us somewhere to stay as everything else was booked. The rooms are quite spacious. Parking is easy. The lady on reception and the cleaning staff were pleasant and friendly. In summary it did the job but was expensive for what it was. It felt very old but not in a good way. I wouldn't choose to stay here but it was ok.

I was surprised by the conditions here, I did not expect to find a clean room considering the past experiences, the bathroom was very clean, there was no trace of mold, the bathtub was clean, the toilet was the same, the fan was damaged but functional. the carpet in the room did not smell bad and even if it was stained, you could see that it had been freshly vacuumed, the sheets were clean, the pillows were the same and the towels were the same, the TV was functional, you could watch many programs, I also had a kettle and tea and milk, and the radiator was working, it was 20 degrees in the room, I stayed for 2 nights and it was wonderful, I forgot to mention that there was liquid soap and shower gel and toilet paper in the bathroom. So I recommend it. We were satisfied. The parking if you are their customer and you give the number of the car to the reception you don t have to pay now we'll see if we have any surprises in the future☺️
