Bright Horizons St Mary's Abingdon Day Nursery and Preschool

recent Ofsted report(2016) is- 'Needs Improvement', used to be good, now lower Mgmt is terrible. Staff demotivated. Only go if it's your last option and you are desperate. Not worth the money. Kids development curriculum is also out of date.

If I could rate it 0 I would. Horrendous place to work, and horrendous place to send your children. Stay clear of here! Food portions are ridiculously small they always run out of essentials like nappies etc, and they don’t take safeguarding issues seriously. The place is full of gossip.

My son has been very happy at Bright Horizons.

Very friendly environment and extremely professional service. We had a great experience settling in after months away from nursery. Our daughter loved it before lockdown (she’s been going for almost 2 years before lockdown) and still loves it now.. she feels welcome and she is learning a lot every day! I would highly recommend for children of any age!

Looks can be deceiving. Looks like a friendly , lovely place with fabulous facilities. On a recent visit I had to walk out after witnessing a staff member treating toddlers with disrespect, shouting at them, stomping around and slamming things shut. I left in tears, mortified at what I had witnessed. I'm sure not all the staff are like that but a manager was in the room at the time, along with the staff member showing us around. No one intervened, leading me to believe that this behaviour is accepted within this establishment.

We have had nothing but a lovely and professional experience of this nursey setting. Our son enjoyed attending very much and formed good relationships with key workers and other children.Staff are friendly; professional and upmost you get the impression that they genuinely care for each individual child.Procedures have been crystal clear and well communicated throughout especially wrt covid. Every staff member we've interacted with has been excellent. Daily photos and feedback via the app has also been fantastic.

We removed our son from this nursery as we have no confidence in them. It seems shouting at children is the norm. We also witnessed a member of staff grabbing our son by the arm and raising there voice. His key worker also didn't know how old he was. Poor all round. every time we raised a concern it was dealt with but no real follow up. I wouldn't recommend this nursery to anyone, I'd advise people to steer clear.

They obviously do not care about the security. Tonight the alarm rang for an hour and no one reacted!
