Phil Parker Torbay Carpentry

Phil has worked for us a couple of times now. He is professional, punctual, and has a passion for working with wood. My husband and I start off with an idea on how we would like something to built and with his advice we (for example) now have a beautiful kitchen island. I would not hesitate to recommend Phil for any future work. Reasonably priced too!!!

Phil did a couple of jobs for us which, for him I’m sure were easy, for me would never have got done or, if they had, would never have been right. I’m grateful he was happy to do them (re-hanging an interior door with new hinges, and planing and re-hanging a back gate so as it actually closed properly) as he’s done a great job. I would definitely recommend Phil and will definitely use him again.

Can not recommend Phil highly enough! Polite, professional, very hardworking and gets the job done to a very high finish and does exactly what you ask for, and very reasonably priced!Phil made 3x lots of bespoke wardrobe doors, replaced 3x floors of pre-primed bannisters, installed skirting and a new bedroom door, as well as fixing all the rest of the doors in house x7 by shaving them down and replacing the hinges and installing a lock in the family bathroom.The house feels so much better and finally starting to see it all come together I can’t wait to get it all painted and see the end result! We are so so happy with Phil’s handiwork and again so thankful we stumbled across him! Thank you so much Phil. No doubt we will get you back again in the future for more work!

Phil carried out some carpentry work for me as an architect. He’s not only an excellent craftsman with very high standards, but also an extremely nice and helpful person, who I’d be delighted to use again.

Phil Parker laid a Howdens laminate floor at our house in November 2023. Phil provided us with a very competitive estimate for the works and was timely turning up and completing the job. He is an experienced carpenter who has a very good eye for detail. He is hard working and was consultative throughout. We are very pleased with finished product which has transformed our living room. Well what can I say… we had Phil help bring our vision to life with our oak storm porch. I’m very particular, and knew exactly what I wanted. Alas Phil was exceptionally personable and went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble… despite mid project change requests! Highly professional and competent. Phil Parker built a Summerhouse for us and he was very professional, efficient and thorough in his work, but at the same time very accommodating, he built it to our specification but with his added input it totally improved to what was the end result.We would certainly recommend his quality of work to anyone.

Phil has been working for me on and off since the beginning of 2023. In that time he has extensively modified the stairs of my 3 storey house to make it safer and also look better, fitted skirtings and architraves, created an Understairs storage area, hung and rehung doors, solved various problem areas and much much more.He’s extremely efficient, very competent and is great at interpreting my wishes and suggesting solutions to problems. He’s also a really nice guy and always a pleasure to have here.I have no hesitation in recommending him for all sorts of carpentry work (though I know that his skills extend beyond that).
