Adventures in Furniture Tottenham Court Road

Having discovered AIF in an online search, my husband and I added AIF to our shortlist of stores to visit in our search for a new dining room table. We visited it first and our search went no further. The wonderful Clara listened, understood our brief and patiently showed us AIF's wide range of extending tables (no other store came close to this choice). She was helpful, patient, knowledgable but in no way pushy. We left the store armed with samples and happy with our choice. Order placed - we can't wait for it to arrive.

A quick google search of furniture stores on Tottenham Court Roads led my husband and I to find AIF. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Charles and told him why we were shopping. Our sofa from a now out-of-business retailer had broken after just 1.5 years, and we needed something quality that would match our decor and last much longer than the previous one. Charles was quick to find out the style we were looking for and found the perfect mustard-coloured, 2-seater sofa that fit our space and decor perfectly. He made the process so easy, was able to arrange for our broken sofa to be taken away, and we received our sofa very quickly! To top it all off, the delivery team were a dream to work with; very quick to get in touch to arrange everything and so kind when they delivered the sofa. I would highly recommend AIF and will be back for more pieces in the future!

My partner Charles and I bought a made to order pink velvet chaise sofa a few months ago from here. He actually works at the Tottenham Court Road branch and fell in love with this particular model. I was initially wary of spending so much on a sofa . . . truth be told I’m a bit of a Habitat fan. It took a fair bit of convincing! However, it’s turned out to be incredible value and worth every penny. It’s so comfortable we often fall asleep on it at the end of the day. It also helps it’s pretty fabulous to look at!

We stumbled into this store by accident and after Charles showed us the sofa bed we were thrilled. The quality and comfort was far superior than many others we had looked at. Charles is really great as he gave us no pressure but followed up almost immediately after we left with an email giving all specs and price. We went back a few days later to finalize our order and are so excited about receiving it. We really would recommend anyone looking for sustainable and great quality furniture to visit AIF and ask for Charles he is great!

Highly recommended. Most comfortable sofa I have ever owned. Sales staff in the shop were extremely helpful. Sofa arrived early and delivery was efficient.

Headed to Tottenham Court Road knowing of the small selection of high quality furniture shops in the area and came across this shop. Although we found some beautiful furniture it’s a shame we couldn’t say the same about the customer service. My husband and I walked in, it wasn’t busy, the first thing I noticed was the weird side eye look of suspicion the male assistant with long hair at the till was giving us. No hi, hello, just weird stares. Anyway as we continued to look around I noticed an older white man and woman (yes me and my husband are not white) walk in to which the same male assistant greeted them asking if they needed any help. His attitude was a world of difference to what we received. As we were heading downstairs there were two female assistants - no acknowledgment. We were downstairs for a good ten minutes or so looking around, we were interested in some of the chairs and a lampshade but with the lack of assistance we decided to just leave. As we were walking out we were approached asking if we needed any help…what is the point in that? Usually going into these smaller furniture chains the customer service is on point, shame about this place. Especially the man with the long hair, it almost felt like we were being judged by him. Not nice. I know we could have asked for help, but after the very cold attitude of the staff it put us off and we almost felt like we were out of place being there. Anyways we ended up going to Calligaris and the Chinese sales assistant was friendly and helpful, maybe he could teach them a thing or two about good customer service.
