I booked an afternoon tea for my grandma's 86th birthday and I couldn't recommend it enough!!My grandma has limited mobility so the steps surrounding the tower were a bit of an issue (this is because the property is a grade 1 listed building so they cannot build ramps to make it accesible) however, the staff were more than accommodating to make her experience as comfortable as possible. Natalie made arrangements for us before our arrival and gave me plenty of information regarding the accessibility. The afternoon tea was amazing and so tasty! Our server was Jack, and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Catered to every need and made the experience lovely for me and my grandma. They recommended a walk round the gardens (which I thought we wouldn't be able to do due to the accessibility) however, when I mentioned this, they radioed their colleague to take us on a mini tour of the ground floor of the house and also allowed us to get to the gardens without the use of steps. They even gave us a little history tour whilst they guided us to the gardens. Lovely VIP treatment! As we was leaving the older gentleman who originally greeted us and helped my grandma up the stairs came to wave us off and gave us some more history on the tower. All in all, the staff were amazing from Start to finish!!!! The only reason I knocked it a star was because I couldn't see information on the accessibility of the property straight away so it was a good job I asked but the staff more than made up for it.Big thanks to Jack again for making our afternoon tea experience so special- they are an absolute credit to the company ❤️

Did the ghost tour with family and friends. It was a great experience hearing the dark stories of its past , the building is amazing to see too. We all enjoyed it, and the good food topped it all off.Defo recommend.

Well worth a visit. We had a tour by Eric. A very informative, interesting and occasionally funny, tour. The gardens are certainly worth a walk around. The location is fantastic, with views across the Lancashire countryside.

Booked an afternoon tea for a 70th birthday based off the number of 5 star and positive reviews. While the food was lovely, it was a real let down. Given the grandeur of the setting; the entry sign 'closed to visitors' was unwelcoming/confusing and the tearoom itself incredibly dated. Given that we spent a small fortune on a special birthday treat, to be sat in a dingy room with decor from the 90s was not what we had expected. Disappointed family. This isn't to take away from the nice waitress who served us, but I could have gone elsewhere had we known it was going to be basically nothing like the swish images online.

Wonderful place to visit, the tours are full of interesting information, with wonderful guided tours from the volunteers and the staff in the tea rooms are very polite, friendly and well dressed!

We visited the historic side of Hoghton Tower. We have been twice now and will go again. Each time we have taken the guided tour, you always find out something new.Amazing to find places like this virtually on your doorstep. This place is well worth the visit, set in beautiful countryside, as you make the turn into the long drive.. well, if first impressions mean anything. The little tea room is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend checking out their website to look out for events such as farmers markets etc

We just did the tour, rather than staying (I didn't realise you could stay, but it would be worth it for the ghosts alone). The building is superb and in excellent condition. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable and were effusive in their admiration of our little girl. The only downsides are that my dog couldn't come, and the cafe has a limited selection of food and the staff were somewhat odd (although friendly enough).I'd certainly recommend a visit.

There were no tours available so we did a house visit. All volunteers were very knowledgeable answered all of our questions and told us soo much about the history of the house. We had 4 children aged 7 to 13, the volunteers at the house were so friendly, the way they explained kept the children engaged. The amount of house and gardens we saw is limited, considering the building is vast, but it's definitely worth a visit. The tea rooms were pleasant too.Too attract more families they could have worksheets for children to spot items in the house and gardens.
