First time here, was a little weird having a co-op right next door with people coming and going and very distracting from where we were sitting. Food was okay, nothing more or less, expensive for what was on offer and not overly different than anywhere. In fact, £15 for a burger is steep especially when it's overcooked chicken. Nice and light and clean, won't rush back

Sadly an Xmas meal was the worst meal we have ever had here - normally lovely food - the veg was raw and the meals were cold. It was a busy night so maybe they couldn't cope with the volume of people?

Great service,drinks and environment.Food was really good.Beef Sunday roast,fish pie, sausage and mash.All good the four star was only the side veg for us,was to hard.Described as crunchy on the menu.Couldnt fault anything else and will definitely be back.

Fantastic Sunday lunch with family. Roast beef was lovely but the ham hock starter was superb.... as was the trout.. and the sausage and mash...

First visit to The Millstone, and it was definitely worth it. Had food from the festive menu. It was delicious, the food was hot and the portion size was really good. It's definitely worth a visit.

Food was really good but took over an hour to actually be served our food. Had to ask after 45 mins where it was. It was busy but some acknowledgment of having to wait would be good. After ordering one drink when we first sat down we weren’t once asked if we would like anymore drinks. Sat with empty glasses for about 30 mins.When we went to pay they did take the drinks off the bill but by then we were pretty annoyed by then, it was at least a gesture of goodwill.Might I suggest offering some bread or olives if they know you are waiting and at least proactive acknowledgment of the meals being delayed (was blamed on a large group), and at the very least being looked after with drinks.Looking around we were not the only ones waiting ages.We had specifically booked in early - 615 so we didn’t miss the rugby kick off.Will be reticent to visit on a Saturday night again or at busy times.

Lovely selection of beverages on offer, and a great variety on the menu, lots of outside seating available. I found the chips a little dry and batter a bit soft for my liking but there were lots of clear plates all around which is a good sign. I would recommend this venue. And visit again.

Lovely warm environment, made to feel like a guest. Staff were very friendly, helpful and again just a warm welcome and overall experience.Food was stunning. Unsure on the bacon chop, would probably have picked a different protein for the accompaniments. Lamb was beautiful, although closer to rare than pink.
