I had an extremely difficult recruitment experience with this company. As an experienced and qualified social care worker, with many years working in care, this experience was alarming. Good staff selection, induction& training is important to ensure great care, as is respect and consideration of workers / recruitees. I was expected to participate in unpaid training & many hours of pre employment checks / correspondence before any contract of employment was even mentioned. Standards of some training were unusual and, in some areas I felt, inadequate. Attitudes and approaches among some managerial & training staff were upsetting and not in line with procedure / policy considered good employment practice. Sadly this recruitment experience left me feeling obliged to post a review. My parents received a high standard of care from Home Instead Lymm, which led me to apply to a Bristol company. I regret doing so.
