This pub has been completely renovated, the decoration is reminiscent of a 70s style pub. It has a great roof terrace. Very comfortable and welcoming with a fine choice of real ales and lagers.

Such a fantastic pub having had a gorgeous renovation throughout. Children are welcome until 7, dogs welcomed and the landlord, his wife and staff are so welcoming and friendly it creates such a vibrant atmosphere. Great selection of drinks too. We'll recommend

Lovely spacious pub with very clean decor and tastefully fitted. Their rooftop garden is excellent, especially in the Summer. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the drinks were reasonable and affordable. It's a noticeable step above other local pubs and well worth a visit.

Recently reopened following 9 years' of dereliction, The Throstles Nest has become a popular local haunt. The drinks are sensibly priced, and for what seems to be a very small frontage, the place is remarkably large - something of a tardis, making full use of all available space. 3 discrete indoor lounge areas surround the bar, and a games room at the back houses a darts board and a 6 foot pool table. The piéce de résistance though is the very delightful roof terrace. We'll appointed with tables and chairs and protected from wind on all sides, it's something of a suntrap, even on a cooler day.There is no car park, and the pub is on a main road so you will need to find parking off a back street and walk to the inn, but it's a nice place and if you're local, a decent local boozer.
