Swindon Accident Repair Centre
I had a pretty positive experience, my insurance company sent me to these, they picked my car up and dropped courtesy car off, I didn’t really get much communication after that I had to keep calling and then 2 weeks later was told it may be ready for it to then be a further few days but all in all was good experience I guess, car came out looking amazing! They went above and beyond to fix extra little things

One star or two..tough choice. Unfortunately my car was sent here for repairs by my car insurers. It needed a new wing and headlight and I was foolishly expecting a time frame of 1 to 2 weeks. 5 weeks later I have just collected my car after many promised completion dates came and went. Customer service is shocking, no comunication except one badly worded text telling me my car was being put back togetter 3 weeks ago. In this firm customer service is well and truely dead.

Poor quality work and poor communication.After a minor low speed incident my car required new front grills, air guide and minor bumper repair, (my car was reversed into). My insurer (The AA) advised me that my only local approved repairer was ARC Group Swindon, I expressed my concern with this as their google reviews were not very good. My insurer reassured me that all their repairers were checked and their work would be up to standard. My car was booked in and after a longer than expected wait, (3 weeks instead of 1 week due to part availability), I was informed that my car was ready for collection. During this time I had had next to no contact from the garage, each time my car was due to be ready I had to contact them to check it was complete only to be told it wasn’t and given a new estimate. I was only updated once, and that was a brief text message after I had contacted them. When I was finally able to collect my car I noticed that the bonnet no longer lined up with either wing and there were large partials stuck in the paint work where the bumper had been repaired. The staff accepted immediately that this was not acceptable and said they would need the car longer to rectify the issues. A few days later I was told again (by text message) that my car was ready. On arrival I could see that the bonnet now aligned correctly with the wings but the paintwork was still rough and lumpy, but better than before. I again pointed this out and was told they could look at it again but I wanted my car back and as the worst area was not in an obvious place I told them it was a poor quality job but I would take it as it was. Just to add insult I noticed on the job sheet that they included under labour a quality check, suggesting they charge to quality check their own work, and then don’t bother to check it (or accept it even when the quality is appalling). Contacting the repairer was not easy and the phone was regularly not answered. I was even contacted by my insurer to ask if I knew if the repair was complete yet as they had not been able to contact the repairer themselves to confirm. I will definitely not use this garage in the future and recommend it is avoided by anyone else requiring car repairs.

My insurance company recommended this garage, it took a week to process the repair work, but my car was picked up and taken for repair, we were kept informed of how the work was going by a friendly team of staff. When the work was completed we were contacted, informed the return would be delayed, we chose to collect, so pleased to meet the the team in the office, the repair was superb you would never know it had been damaged. We cannot fault the work and nothing was to much trouble for the staff, deserve their five stars.

EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!!!! -5 STARS!Said they would provide a courtesy vehicle AND DIDNT.Had to hire my own hire vehicle witch cost £180.00 to get to work and when I phone up for the refund of the hire vehicle I get a pack of lies and ignored so I'm now left with paying the bill myself.Couldn't even be bothered to drop the van off after it was done so I had to drive a 2 hour round trip to collect my van on two occasions.I Could go on and on about what a bad experience I've had with this company but il let you decide when you unfortunately come across these bunch of careless idiots.

The worst garage I have ever dealt with. They had my car in their garage since 3rd November 2021 and I only got it back today (1st December 2021). They did not provide a courtesy car as agreed. They took a whole month to carry out a simple wheel change. They refused to recover my car back to me in Oxford and tried to make me come to Swindon to collect my car. My car was promised to be dropped back to me on Friday 19th November, didn't arrive back into Oxford until the 29th November, a whole 10 days later. They point blank refused to have my car recovered back to me due to not having a recovery truck however, they were quick enough to have my car recovered into their garage when work was required and money was to be made. I had to arrange recovery of my car at my own expense. A simple wheel change took over a month and also they refused to carry out an MOT on my car as promised. So I had additional delays as my car then required an MOT which I had to arrange myself after the repair was carried out. The manager was very rude saying he had to 'get off the phone as I have a customer with me' however he also had a customer on the phone (me). I rang this garage at least 3-4 times a week for updates on my car however every time the answer was the same and that my car was 'being stripped'. The manager offered no solution dropping my car back to me after the work was finally completed. In other words you could've considered my car stolen by this garage at this point as they refused to give it back. They never returned any of my calls after the old 'we'll give you a call back'. If I could give them a minus rating I would. Please avoid this garage at all costs. This garage is only concerned with pockets not customer satisfaction.

Swindon Accident Repair Centre
After no help from Ford main dealer about a body repair i looked on the Ford website and saw ARC as an approved Ford repair centre. So glad i found them. Very helpful and gave an accurate estimate. The work took a week and results were superb. Top quality. Cannot tell where damage was. The only thing to improve perhaps was to provide an update along the way. So overall really pleased.

Swindon Accident Repair Centre
My insurance co. booked an appointment for ARC to carry out some repairs to my passenger door, the car was delivered to arc and the handover was simple, a time estimate was given and dealt with very professionally. I had one day in the week that I was able to collect, this was noted and the car was ready on time. Karen on reception was fantastic, always helpful, friendly and professional, a pleasure to deal with. I had heard a few negative comments about the company and was wary, there was definitely nothing to worry about. Would I chose to go back - Yes 100%, also the clean was superb, it's just a pity it won't look that good again.
