My 18 year old daughter saw Anthony earlier this week after badly injuring her ankle playing netball. My daughter’s physio recommended him to us to us and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish.The appointment was booked quickly and communication was clear. We received a call with an offer of an earlier appointment which was very welcome.The consultation with Anthony was excellent. He took time to understand everything about the injury, how it had happened, and why it was important for my daughter that it was sorted out. As well as the ankle injury, he asked about her history of playing netball, all her previous injuries, and how she’d progressed. He really took the time to understood how much it mattered to her and he explained the context of how all of this information was key to determining the best treatment.We were amazed at how thorough his physical assessment was as well. He took the MRI data we already had, explained in detail what it showed, and sent her for an X-ray to get more information. With all this he was able to see exactly what was wrong and how it can be fixed - and he explained it all to my daughter very clearly.The surgery will be done at a hospital closer to our home, by a surgeon Anthony referred us to, and he’s spoken to them himself to make sure everything is clear.I can’t recommend Anthony enough. He’s truly an expert in ankle injuries and he’s professional, empathetic, and very thorough.

I fell and “sprained” my ankle back in April. I had torn 3 ligaments in my ankle and was very swollen. I booked in with Anthony Perera and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have made. I followed his advice regarding the boot, brace and sock. I have been going to physio as advised too. He diagnosed me with a condition that I never knew I had, but now everything has fallen into place and it all makes sense! He helped me find support for the condition and looked for a physio for me. I feel like I have been cared for. It makes such a difference seeing a medical professional who actually cares about you and wants you to heal and get better. I recently fell and injured my ankle. I was advised to see a consultant after visiting a physio and was lucky enough to get an appointment with Anthony.Anthony is a real expert in his field, friendly and explains things in laymans terms. Arranged for x-rays and an MRI scan to be completed urgently and then performed surgery for an ankle sprain and syndesmosis injury. The care I received before, during & after surgery was fantastic & I would highly recommend anyone with ankle problems to see Mr Perera.

I consulted Mr Perera with a badly deformed ankle. This was caused by an old sports injury which was impeding my walking and I was in constant pain. Mr Perera carried out an operation to fuse my ankle using Keyhole surgery. This has changed my life as I can now walk without pain and my foot is flat to the ground. I would recommend Mr Perera and his ability to perform Keyhole surgery to anyone.

In February 2023 I had keyhole surgery to correct a condition called Haglunds Syndrome. I've been having this issue with my Achilles for over 2 years and it was limiting my mobility. It's been 6 months since since the surgery and I have no limitations with my mobility. Rehab is still ongoing and I'm probably 95% recovered. The difference this surgery has made is remarkable. My gran has recently been using a brace designed by Anthony Perera and colleagues for her ankle (specifically flat foot and tibialis posterior tendon damage). It has given her unbelievable support and assistance while walking. Very pleased and grateful.

Friendly and pleasant manner Mr Perrera investigated my foot problem thoroughly and explained what treatment was needed.As a result of recommended scans I now know that I have a bone density issue so can return to my GP to address that.Without having had that scan I would not have known this so I am very grateful for that.I would recommend anybody with a foot problem to see him.

Mr Perera is an incredible surgeon, he is also the nicest kindest and most professional person you could ever wish to meet, I personally had been suffering the most excruciating pain for 18 month, I was extremely destressed and anxious when I first met Mr Perera although as soon as I attended my first appointment I knew I was in safe hands.Mr Perera and his amazing secretary Tanya Chin are the most caring kind people you could ever wish to meet, I personally feel like I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have been treated by Mr Perera and Tanya.Anyone who is experiencing problems with their foot or ankle, I could not recommend contacting Mr Perera enough, If there were a million stars to click not just the five, I would have clicked a million.
