Sew Impressed

We took my daughter's prom dress here to be altered. The alterations were substantial because my daughter is quite small. The service was outstanding. Hanya was polite and helpful from start to finish. She spent a lot of time speaking to us and advising us. The finished dress was perfect and we were delighted with the finished result. The service and the standard of work was fantastic quality. I would definitely return and would recommend to others looking for a friendly and professional service.

I had a suit jacket where the sleeves were too long. I'd known for a while, but decided to leave it until 6 days before a wedding to get it sorted...The team were able to have it sorted in time and at a very reasonable price too! Would definitely recommend.

I am usually very happy to take my alterations to Sew Impressed as I have had good experiences with their alteration service in the past. However, I shall not be doing so any more after viewing an alteration done on my fathers suit in preparation for my sons wedding in two weeks. The suit trousers needed narrowing and taking up at the hem and the waist taking in. I did not witness the pinning process, but I have seen the final result which is absolutely awful. The side seams are puckered on the outside, the trouser lining sewn over, the side seam of the trousers has been cut leaving a minimal edge to be sewn together. The hem has been hand sewn but the stitch marks are visible on the outside and there are loose threads where the waist band was taken in.The end result is a pair of trousers and, therefore, a whole suit that is not wearable, and although money for the alteration was eventually refunded after taking the trousers back to complain, there was no apology for the really bad sewing workmanship, merely a “We’re you happy with the pinning?” My father is not a tailor but he did indicate how much he felt the trousers needed taking in during conversation at the time of pinning and irrespective of how these trousers were pinned, the actual quality of the work is truly awful. He has had no choice but to go out and buy a new suit for the wedding, an expense he had not anticipated because he expected a professional job from Sew Impressed, but unfortunately did not get that.

Absolutely cannot thank these people enough. I entered as a very nervous bride and not very confident. Hanya completely took ownership of the situation, made me feel confident about the alterations needed and in myself! Magical. She even came to the venue and put me in my dress on the morning of our special day. Outstanding customer service, going above and beyond! Thank you xxx

What fantastic service ! Anthony pulled out all the stops when I urgently needed a suit altered for a funeral. He even delivered it himself (on a Sunday!) I can't thank him enough. Great job. I'd say expensive but I couldn't do it myself and they made some clothes fit that never would have otherwise

It's been a very long while since I have visited Sew Impressed, a little while before COVID. I have moved out of the area so not local now but made the visit as I knew I had always been happy with the service here. I dropped in 7 pairs of pants, 6 to be turned up and one with a zip replacement. I waited a week to be able to collect them but that was sooner than I expected so I was happy with that. When I collected them you wouldn't even know they had been turned up them looked like they had been purchased that length. All the trousers were brand new just too long. Cost wise again very reasonable. All in all the services were excellent as was their customer service. Parking just at the rear is very convenient. Would certainly use again without hesitation

Staff we're lovely! Even brought a dress in to be altered based on measurements and it was oerfect.

Excellent Experience work is great and they accommodate if you need sooner that the date given.
