No-frills transport cafe. Good food at reasonable prices.

I've been to a lot of cafes in my time (and I have the belly to prove it). I ordered my staple omelette (cheese and bacon) which normally tends to come with either chips or a salad in the price, some with tea thrown in. Not today - on ordering chips and salad I was told this would cost around fifteen pounds. When I balked and chose just to have chips this brought it down to just under thirteen. Whilst I can appreciate we're all feeling the pinch right now I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the most I've paid in any cafe in London so far, and whilst the omelette was nice and the chips were good, and the overall meal was plentiful this wasn't worth the money in my opinion.

I have never seen this place opened after 1pm and I've lived on cecil road for a year now. I love cafes and because of my disability would happily spend the money, but everytime i go there even before its 3pm closing time, its shut up shop and the sign says 4pm. Very confusing. It explains the prices. They could have seriously made some money out of me, they've missed out and now I have to move. oh well.

As someone who used to rate this café 5 stars I am really disappointed and feel ill after eating here. The picture shows the disgusting, lumpy sludge (supposedly brown sauce) that I had to scrape off my bacon and sausage sandwich to hopefully salvage it and not throw it in the bin. In all my life I have never seen brown sauce go lumpy, and a quick Google search comes up with nothing either. I will not be coming back, nor recommend anyone to visit here again. Such a shame. I don't think the old chef would have let this happen. But the owner however seems to care very little about quality (while charging more than any other café in the area)

Been here twice now for breakfast and it’s very good. Both times I’ve had the special no.2 and my partner gets a cheese toasty. Coffee is good the staff are excellent, and it’s a nice and friendly vibe. Give this place a try

Disappointed - I had heard about this Cafe with regards to them having massive breakfast challenge. However I was in the area and decided to go there. From the outside it looked really run down, I thought it was closed as there were two mopeds outside blocking the entrance to the door. When inside, the tables were all filthy, no menu to be seen other than what was on the wall. When looking at the deals, you have to disturb customers who are already sitting down and in the way of the menus. The service was good but the venue needs to be spruced up and the food was a 2 out of 10. Needs massive improvements. The sign outside states London’s No 1 cafe, this is misleading. It was a winner in 2012 but never again, what happened?
