Being able to fit working hours around family commitments is an added bonus and the training that is carried out at the recruitment stages as well as the Care Certificate that is completed within the first 16 weeks of employment, really gives the Care Professionals extra confidence when caring for their clients.

I am a Care Giver Professional with no previous experience. My work has always been in the Hospitality Industry. Due to covid i found myself with a complete career change but to be honest it is very similarI just have seemed to found my niche but also working For Home Instead.The company itself seem to be too good to be true. From the training, to the support given. Nothing is too much trouble. You have back up daily no matter how big or small the queryThe job itself is so rewarding. You are matched to your clients and have a care plan about them so you have a common interest on first meeting about their hobbies, their families, where they were born.Everyday is so different. I learn so much from my clients and their past stories. If i come away with a smile i feel good and it is normally everyday. To me working for Home Instead is more than just a job, its knowing that you are helping someone by being there and caring. I would totally recommend it!!

I came new to care two years ago. I was looking to work in the care sector but only if it was offering the best care and was something I could be proud to say I do. From the day I spoke to Tracey in recruiting I have not looked back. She was able to answer all of my questions and to reassure me of any concerns I had of my own inexperience. I then did the training programme which gave me the information and confirmation that I had chosen the best. I love the variety that the job offers, meeting so many clients from all walks of life. Building relationships with clients, some who started off unsure and concerned about allowing someone to come into their life when they have been used to independence, to then have that client say they don’t know what they would do without you is so rewarding. We have office staff at the end of the phone answering any questions and offering support and advice when needed. Training is on going and the opportunity to further your education is offered. So if you are looking for the best, then I would say home instead is the place for you.

If you are looking for care for a relative, I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough.I knew they already had an excellent reputation, but I was not disappointed from the initial enquiry and assessment, they made a real effort to get to know my dad and he always felt very confident with their care.I am now working for the company and continue to find them well organised and professional. The company always strives to deliver excellent training and support and having an hours visit or longer is crucial in being able to deliver excellent care and support.I can see myself working for Home Instead for many years to come.

After a career of over 30 years with one of the country’s best known corporate companies, I wanted a change of career to give back to my community. I joined Home Instead in September this year being brand new to care work. I’ve be blown away by the superb quality of the extensive training, the support given to me as a new carer (that’s there 24 x 7), and the total joy this role gives to me and those we care for. The office team are so helpful there’s never a worry to ask a question. I work part-time on a two week recurring pattern, that fits around the other things I also want to be doing now I’m in my 50’s. i started working for home instead after not working for almost 14 years due to raising my son. They are lovely and caring and so supportive. The training is brilliant and when you first start out with clients they do excellent shadow shifts and someone is always on the end of the phone if you need any support or help. They really have been so lovely to me. I look forward to work each day. I love the fact we have time to make a difference and have time to build a relationship with our clients. I honestly feel so proud to be part of an amazing company who really do care :-)

From our initial enquiry, the level of support, understanding and expertise especially from Mums caregivers has been superb.As Mums condition worsens so we have stepped up the help we receive and the flexibility and ‘ can do’ attitude from all in the Office has been very welcome.Our caregiver visits are undoubtedly the highlight of her day and she very much enjoys teaching one and all how to do any of the hundred or so jigsaws in her ‘library’.
