Strive jiu jitsu is an amazing place to learn the gentle art, everyone is friendly and so easy going … the passion and enthusiasm Karl brings to the matts is evident in every class … so if you are new, returning or a seasoned jiu jitsu practitioner I would recommend strive jiu jitsu for all.

I could not rate Strive and Karl enough..he is a fantastic instructor who caters for all abilities. Strive has a very welcoming environment for anyone wanting to learn or continue their ju-jitsu journey. As a female learning a new sport especially a martial art can be quite daunting but come along for a session and I promise you’ll love it . I honestly couldn’t recommend a better place to train.

As a woman who trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu it is incredible to find a gym where every training partner is understanding of my ability and size in comparison to them.A friendly atmosphere where you do feel like part of an actual team! And Karl is a brilliant coach who is very patient.I honestly can't recommend starting out here enough especially if you are a female tempted to try it out!

I've been training with Strive now for about 3 months. Karl has been amazing, giving me all the tools needed being a total newbie to Jiu-jitsu!The whole team are very welcoming and friendly. Karl's way of teaching is great as he slows things down and is very technical with everything you do. You are never made to feel like you are in over your head as you're either paired with people of a similar skill set or paired with someone more advance to guide you through the techniques. If you've tried BJJ before and got the typical 2 move coaching then left in a room full of guys trying to kill each other and didn't like it I feel you! THIS CLUB IS DIFFERENT! No guru nonsense, the people here have become genuine friends and importantly the head coach is approachable, awesome at coaching and actually cares.If you've never tried BJJ before then you're in for a treat at this club as its so good. You get no weird sales pitch and the standards are super high. You will not regret it !!

Been training at Strive a little over 2 months, after leaving another gym I was very comfortable at.Within seconds of entering the place I felt extremely welcome, not only by Karl (Head Coach) but every single member I have been in contact with since!Couldn’t recommend the place enough to anyone either people have have training in BJJ previously or completely new people, really does feel inclusive for anyone and everyone!

After starting my training at a different gym where I trained for 18 months, I can say without a doubt that Strive is the best club for anyone who is serious about learning BJJ.
