An absolutely stunning place. With a lovely little farm shop, that is very reasonably priced. The farm shop has lots and lots of gluten free items. The cafe next door has friendly polite staff, with a great little menu. I would highly recommend stopping heel for lunch or afternoon tea.

Right in the heart of the South Downs is the hub for our lovely national park the South Down Centre. I use and live in the park. They do some exceptional work at the centre by educating individuals who are otherwise not aware they are in a national park. It's important to note they do not own the land or even manage it as that's down to the land owners, they do provide policies to protect our lovely park and work very hard to raise awareness and most of all provide information to make the Southdowns National Park available to everyone.

A beautiful and varied part of the country that I've been lucky enough to call home for the past 10 years! The stretch takes in lovely towns and villages, rolling countryside and spectacular coastline.

The visitor centre does not allow dogs, the only one of all the national parks visitor's centres I've been to which does not accept them.

I only briefly looked there, I do wish to go back when less pressure of missing an onwards bus connection there.

Great 3d map of the area which makes sense of the landscape. Interesting exhibits, lots of free leaflets and helpful staff.We tried the electric car recharging point a few years ago and found it expensive; check other more recent posts if you want to use it to see if price has improved.
